The Walking Dead TV show on AMC has broken worldwide audience records and every new season just keeps upping the ante on the previous one. This game is based on the official TV show, but its story is different with new characters, although they still evolve in the exact same zombie world as in the original TV show.

There have been too many zombie-themed games prior to The Walking Dead game, but the latter infuses renewed energy into an over-exploited genre. Its primary strength lies in its story. The graphics and game engine are particularly fine-tuned to deliver the intended experience. Oh, what a fantastic story! The script is simply superb and pushes the limits all the time. You can never be sure of what's going to happen next. Any of the main characters can meet with some unexpected event and die. You learn that early in the first episode. The game itself revolves around your decisions and the consequences of your acts will guide the rest of the gameplay. The first season comprises of 5 episodes plus 1 DLC which bridges the storyline between season 1 and 2.

Throughout the game, it really surprised me that some of decisions i made from episode 1 still carried over to the other episodes, until the last one. The characters reacted differently to what i had expected as they recalled some of my actions in the previous episodes of the game. This changed the game and ultimately the game experience. You can replay this game several times and depending on your choices when interacting with the characters and the game itself, you will be able to explore The Walking Dead game's universe even further. This game reveals surprises at every corner. The human factor and the line between what's morally right and what's needed to survive is often blurred. You will have some difficult choices to make as the story evolves but sometimes you just have to do what it takes to get out of the situation alive.

It's zombie apocalypse and civilization has ceased to exist. You play as one of the survivors in a small group, not knowing what to expect. The game delivers a truly excellent story, right next to the high standards set by the original TV series. This title is basically half movie and half game. Explore and appreciate the realism and consequences behind your every click and turn.

More than 4 years after its release, this is still one of the very best (if not the best) co-operative FPS shooter, where teamwork is highly emphasized but you are also given complete freedom at doing whatever you want, although if you want to succeed easily in the missions, you will learn to enjoy and appreciate constant communication with your teammates.

The concept of the game has been clearly very well thought-out and over 400 hours later, i am still drawn to play this game and it never gets old. The campaign missions are great to familiarize yourself with the maps, the settings, the gameplay, the different infected and their distinctive attacks. Everything balances itself out at every turn. But the real strength of this game is its multiplayer. You simply cannot experience the full force of Left 4 Dead, without having played its many multiplayer modes. There are so many different game possibilities and different objectives. It is one of the very few games that can keep me going for several hours, irrespective if i'm tired or sleepy - the adrenaline rush just keeps me awake and the feeling of satisfaction if you work well as a team is simply tremendous.

There are also private game servers which offer even more customizable game modes. The standard versus mode for the official game is 4 vs 4. But on third-party servers, you will encounter 10 vs 10, which changes the game by enabling more chaos and way more fun. I highly recommend that you try it if you ever get tired of the official game modes and want to try something new and even more exciting.

This game is special as it hits you right from the very beginning as being something very different from other games. It's simply unique in its simplicity and brings out the beauty of what we seem to have mostly forgotten while living in cities and leading a modern life, ignorant of the continuous struggle to survive in the wild. The simple act of feeding to living another day - it's something that most of us take for granted, but finding food in the wild is an adventure of its own for these wild creatures.

There are no achievements to unlock in this game. There is no button-mashing involved. No alien robots to vanquish. No zombies to kill. It's simply down to the very basics of nature and how we instinctively react to protect our own. The story is touching and the more you play, the more you get involved into the lives of the mother badger and her cubs. This game exhibits a universal appeal, irrespective of the kind of games you usually love to play. There is adventure in protecting yourself and your family. But at all times, you need to make sure that your cubs are fed regularly. This is as real as it gets, with some elements of surprise intertwined into the story to keep the experience fresh and exciting. The graphics might seem somehow washed out or really bright, but the game really distinguishes itself from all the other games out there by drawing your focus and care to the gameplay itself, although the graphics look really good, once you understand the concept and setting and then you can truly appreciate the majestic beauty in doing the simplest things to stay alive and survive.

Forget everything as you dive into this game. There is no 1st place here or any trophy to win. Enjoy nature and living as you would have, all from the perspective of a small creature out on its own to protect its family in the wild. It's magical and well worth the time to experience a great adventure!
