Climbing and falling five times on the same spot was absolutely infuriating, but man, does it feel good to finally overcome it. That's Cairn in a nutshell, frustrating at times, but deeply satisfying.

Visuals & Sound
The art style is fantastic. It's very simple, but there's a real beauty to it that perfectly complements the experience. The soundtrack deserves special mention too it emphasizes the mood at key moments and really amplifies the emotional impact of the journey.

Gameplay
The core climbing mechanics are solid and enjoyable, but the limb switching system needs work. It cycles through the same order every time, which becomes a problem when you're running out of stamina and desperately need that specific leg to reach the next hold. I eventually started manually selecting limbs throughout my playthrough just to avoid the frustration.
Managing food and resources was genuinely fun. Cooking random ingredients and experimenting to find the best recipes added a nice survival layer to the experience.

Story & Character
Aava, the protagonist, was great. People hating on her are missing the point or just brainded she made the story far more enjoyable . While the narrative isn't groundbreaking or super deep, it's engaging and absolutely worth experiencing.

There are some bugs at the moment, but nothing game-breaking that affected my playthrough.

Devs removed the icon that shows your location in the map this kills the game experience for me. I'm not going to memorise the map when it could just show me where I am :(

This game is something else.
It’s weird, deep, emotional, and just totally Kojima. You can tell he poured everything into this one. There’s this huge sense of mystery, confusion, connection, and somehow it all just works. I didn’t expect to get this hooked into a game about delivering stuff.

I love the organising the cargo part. It sounds odd writing this but lining everything up just right, balancing it so Sam doesn’t trip over a pebble, and figuring out the most efficient path? Super satisfying. It scratches that part of my brain that loves tidying up and making things work smoothly and neat. (orgasm)

There are tense moments with BTs and the MULEs but most of the time, you’re just out there in this beautiful landscape, walking across rivers and climbing hills with my tunes playing.
