I've used Steam since the early 2000's and have played a lot of great games. This is my first Steam review.

Cairn is the best climbing simulator ever made. The story is 80% cringe, but ends strong. But the incredible gameplay is why you should buy this game.

The gameplay is hard. The mountain is brutal all the way up. You think you're making progress, just to reveal more mountain covered in impossible routes. Faces that make you think "you have to be kidding me" or "there's just no way".

And then you make it. And then triumph comes. Cairn is a cycle of vibes, unprecedented levels of palm sweat topped with sweet sweet triumph.

When Cairn came out, all my friends got it and we vowed to only play the "Free Solo" mode where you get no ropes and death is permanent. Who can get to the top first? The stakes of Free Solo created one of the most enthralling gaming experiences I've had in *years*.

In my personal rating system 5 out 5 means that everyone should play the game, regardless of genre or gameplay preferences.

Cairn is absolutely a 5/5 game. Buy it already lol.

When the "Thanks for Playing" screen popped up my wife and I went "NOOOOOOOOO!!!" lol, we're stoked for the full game.
