Amazing game. The grit, the difficulty, and white knuckle action. Every move and decision must be calculated or you WILL die quickly. But on the subject of decisions, I'm NOT with the decision to censor aspects the game in order to port over to consoles. This is part of the game's identity. Reskin things, mute sounds, a lot can be done to change things that console players see and experience as opposed to PC. OR...OR...simply put a trigger warning at the start of the game. Make it a choice for console players to see or experience the more spicy and triggering imagery or missions with messed up subject matters.

Takes me back the the mid 2000's when games were GAMES.

Update: Have we all not learned anything from Helldivers 2? We have to nerf ♥♥♥♥? Like HAVE to? Hate how much of a fad to thumbs down a game, but it seems like one of the only ways to catch the eyes of devs. So here it is.

Pretty cool vibe. Voice actor of the protagonist sounds like a guy who does English dubs for anime, but once you get past that, it's a solid little game with some good scares.

Once the devs get over blaming the engine for the performance issues this review may change.

Would not have recommended at launch due to poor performance optimization, preloading shaders, etc. It's more or less fully functional now. This is my first purchase of this game ever due to not having a PS4 or PS5. Catch a sale if you're simply trying to add it to your PC library.

Amazing, engaging low budget title from a studio that listens to their fans. Awesome community. Swift updates and patches...
BUT. I refuse to create and sign into a PSN account to play this game when ALL other Sony exclusives on this platform don't require it. A company that has an almost yearly data breach. One of which I was a victim of and ultimately steered me away from Sony in the PS3 days. Good job Arrowhead. Hoping you can somehow find another publisher. And Sony, f*** you still 🖕🏻

Oh my crashing God. I can't believe I've sunk 80 crashing hours in to this crash fest. What the crash. I must be crashing crazy. Good Crash Almighty this game is a piece of crash. I've never crashed this much in any game that I own. Have you crashed? Are you ready to crash? Because you will...CRASH.

Took over 6 hours to download only to play a "Server is currently full, you are in a queue," "Client Authentication Failure Simulator." Haven't even gotten the game to launch a single time. Ditch the trash launcher.
