Even though the launch of the game wasn't handled well and some decisions made along that way, I still think Planet Coaster 2 is the superior game to the first installment.

Yes, it doesn't have all the flatrides or scenery themes. And it still has a lot of bugs. But you cannot compare a game built up over 8 years (PC1) with a newly released game and a very decent amount of new features and contents (PC2).

At the end of the day, Frontier is still a game which wants to make profit and sequels ALWAYS have to kind of restart with fewer contents, to improve from there and continue.

With that being said, I think in the current state (PC player), I really enjoy the game and with all the latest fixes, additions and qol improvments, I just think I couldn't go back to Planet Coaster 1. The new path system is difficult for casual players, yes. But if you know how to play it, it's just superior. Give it a chane and learn. Planet Coaster never has been an easy game to start and be good within 30 minutes. Also scaling objects, new the flumes, themes are awesome additions. Game changer to me are the robotic items, which enable creating animated objects. With this addition (which they will hopefully still improve on!), you are able to create almost ANYTHING, which was only possible with existing/standard animatronics, which became quite repetitive over the years in the first game.

I cannot wait what the community will create in the future, which exciting new DLCs we'll get and which themes/items we'll have to reinvent the way we are creating parks and coasters.
