Clunky controls, but really enjoyable gameplay and platforming. Combat is pretty decent and the soundtrack is great. Also, the puzzles are actually pretty clever.

NOPE.
Sorry, terrible optimization and GFWL don't help this game at all. Expect jumping framerates anywhere from 20-30ish while driving in heavily-populated areas. Super unstable and doesn't even get a consistent 60 fps average on a Titan. Stay away until someone puts out a decent fan-made patch for it.

...which hasn't happened since 2010 so good luck

it's good but lacks a lot of the personality and charm that old gta had. 4 is still the best one but the PC version is really bad. this game's multiplayer is really embarrassing and it's sad to see rockstar get hung up on an old and tired iteration of the series. unfortunately, gta v's predatory monetization practices are now the norm for rockstar. avoid purchasing, but the singleplayer is good enough to play without spending money on it.

Really challenging, fast-paced as all hell. But I wouldn't call it insanely difficult. Only 9 stages and the last stage is similar to the one before. It's just timing and actually moving around. Not sure why so many people are bad at this game?

Early Access Review
Wow. I'm surprised by how good this game is. Basically, take a dungeon crawler like Fate or Diablo, mix it in with Rogue, give it a cartoony feel, and add a crap-ton of powerups -- then you've got this game. Highly recommended.

The only game I know which has an entire level dedicated to clubbing baby seals.

Well, this is Contagion. I don't own the game, but from playing the free weekend for a while (I'll try and play a bit more of it to edit my review, maybe add some more stuff on later), it really doesn't seem that great of a game. I was really excited when I first heard about this game coming to Steam, and I was even more excited about its usage of the Source engine -- but somehow, this game doesn't pull really anything off.

It's not a horrible game, but it's not anything I'd spend my money on. The menu interface leaves something to be desired for, the gamemodes are fairly boring, and there's no "open world" aspect to the game at all (see the misleading Steam tags -- those really need to be canned). Instead, what you get is a point A-B shooter with teenagers and rampant idiots on 24/7. People seem to leave servers at random and don't communicate well with others.

I'm sure there'd be a really cool co-op aspect to the game if the gamemodes were more fleshed out, and if there were more unique and interesting map/gamemode ideas on the Workshop, but as of now they're all pretty similar. I'm hoping that the modding community really takes off on this game and creates some really profound and interesting projects, because the developers themselves seem to have only made what feels like a base for a game, and not the game itself. I'd suggest reading the other reviews for more information, but I honestly can not recommend it as of now, though I'm hoping the developers can do something with this tranwreck they have as of late.

High gamma never sounded like such a great idea.
