There's a lot I really like about this game - the character designs and characters, the world building, the music and dialogue, the story - but there are some aspects to it which feel shoehorned in, like the search for collectibles in otherwise extremely linear stages. Even so, it's a great game that was overshadowed by other absurdly good releases (cough cough Clair Obscur) which sadly took away from its time in the sun. Definitely recommend.

Big fan of Disciples 1 and 2, and I really tried to get this game to work. For the time I could play it was great - gorgeous graphics, fun gameplay, really enjoyable to me (except the narration - that's abysmal).

However, I am playing this on Windows 10 in 2020. My computer is ten years newer than the game is. And as with older games on newer computers, this one has its share of problems - or at least one really, really big one. Every so often, the textures disappear, the music stops playing, and the game crashes after the next battle. At first I was able to get around this: reloading the game would almost always fix it. However, I got to a point in the campaign where the game constantly crashes as soon as I hit next turn because one of my guardians gets attacked. I've tried reloading, I've tried to launch in compatibility mode for Windows 7 and Windows XP, I've tried admin privileges, and nothing works. I tried verifying the game installation and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling - I just can't get to my next turn. There's posts in the forums from others with the same problem, but it doesn't look like there's a resolution short of playing on an older computer.

I really hope a Disciples 4 comes out, but this is unfortunately a dying genre. In the meantime, if you can get it to play and you like this kind of game, you should get it. I can't recommend it with the problems I'm having, though. I'll revise this review if a solution comes out.

Really fun game made by a small developer. The campaign isn't as good as the first Eador but is still enjoyable.

Great game when it originally came out years ago under THQ. While perhaps not as mechanically updated as recent ARPG-esque games, like spiritual successor Grim Dawn, it is a pretty solid game with a great atmosphere and interesting mechanics.

It's a great game, but grinding for materials can get annoying. Still, it is extremely fun and worth playing.

I bought this game during the Thanksgiving sale, and was afraid I would have to return it due to the PC issues that continued to be reported after the re-release. However, I encountered absolutely no issues playing this game - no crashes, no stuttering, no memory leaks, nothing. I completed 100% of the story mode without a single problem. For reference, I am running Windows 7.

The story is great and the gameplay is fun. Although the Batmobile takes some getting used to, it really adds a lot once you're comfortable with it (especially with the riddles). I highly recommend this game.
