Aww, man. That's too bad. It's hard to believe that those games came out over two decades ago! I remember the biggest disappointment about Night Trap is that no boobs ever materialized. Loved it when he pulled the plug off the controller when you lost, though. Ah, the good ol' days.

The Witcher is amazing. The first game is one of my all-time favorite PC RPG's. I see you're one achievement away from 100%-ing the second game. Damn! Too bad I own the GOG version and can't prove that I've already done just that, except on double ultra-secret insane difficulty mode with no armor equipped. I need to finish it; I still have a bad habit of starting too many games at once.

Absolutely. I recently played Black Mesa: Source and also thought the same thing about the original. The pace, puzzles, and gunplay -- it just does so many things right that most FPS games still don't. I hope Valve doesn't deviate from that formula too much when they finally release three(LOL). If Gordon slow-walks while listening to some eejit over a walkie, I'M OUTTIE.

As far as DotA, here's a pro-tip: Always start the game off with this in chat: "Hey guys, I've never played Defense of the Ancients before. Looks cool! How do I map 'attack' to my controller?"

Sure-fire way to get an immediate and warm welcome from all your teammates!

So, how is Dark Souls going, cuz? Have you been invaded yet? Made it to Anor Londo(that top-to-bottom mother...)?

The Drake sword is like a rite of passage; you pick it up early and it destroys anything else you can find at that point, but there is zero stat scaling so its performance drops off pretty quickly. The other sword you picked up, the Uchigatana, is awesome; it's the weapon I +15'd and took through the end of the game. Also another good ones lies around Blighttown called the Iaito. It all comes down to whether you like the moveset or not.

Darkroot is one of those weird areas in the game where I never could figure out when I should go there, because I always got my ass kicked in only certain areas. Where were you prior to Darkroot? Have you been to The Depths yet? I know I missed it at first because I didn't know where to use the basement key.

Yup, I ran DEX, too. Absolutely awesome for katanas in particular, but you still have a good range of weapons that scale with STR or DEX. Having a bow handy is always a good idea; it's just too damn handy to use for pulling enemies one at a time.

Ahh, and good ol' pyromancy. Pyromancy is awesome because it's the one type of spell you don't have to put points into a stat to use, so any class can use it. Once you get a flame to use pyromancy, you just need to upgrade it like you would a weapon for it to get more power out of your spells.

Then there's elementral weapons like fire and lightning, but they take away the weapon's scaling so it's always situational. There is SO much to this game!

And a bonus tip: never level resistance, NOT EVEN ONCE(TM).

Really does feel that way; it's like all these years of gaming experience have culminated into a game made to test those abilities. I finally beat it yesterday(I really took my time) and I've already started another character; a sorcerer. I'm gonna try my hand at some invasions and PvP, as the first playthrough of Dark Souls is pretty tense for a game that isn't a horror game, and my ass was already plenty kicked by the NPCs.

Love the game, though. I'd say it might be top 10 material for me.

I always like to play this game with the lights out, and really late at night. When *that* part hit, I seriously had one of those WHAT. THE. ♥♥♥♥ moments. Have you played through all the episodes already? Seriously, I've got prozac and whiskey on standby for the next episode. Also may start dabbling in inner-monologuing. I need to go read those comics again...

So, Chivalry is like, Brutality: The Game. Really liking it so far. And those free-for-alls in the Gladiator-esque arena? Daaaaaamn.
