My thoughts on the game:

* Grindy
* Menu heavy
* Text heavy

But I enjoy it! If you're on the fence and the above things don't deter you, then go ahead and pull the trigger. The trading & exploration is real addictive and each Main Character is unique enough to make each playthrough feel different.

8 out of 10 for me.

Early Access Review
Do you like city builders like Banished? Then look no further. Even with the early access tag, this game already feels so good.

One of the best and most accessible MMOs out there on the market right now. There's a lot to do and almost all content, past and present are still very much relevant.

It's worth getting into even just to try the F2P version.

Edit: my playtime is probably around 500hrs at least as I play on and off on the Anet launcher.

I really enjoyed AC4 and love where they are taking the series. It's not just all assassins anymore, this game is a hybrid of a pirate and assassin game. They managed to give AC4 it's own identity rather than it being 'just another Assassin's Creed game' while still maintaining all the core elements of gameplay that makes it an AC game. If you enjoy the AC series and love the idea of a pirate simulation type game ala Sid Meier's Pirates! then check AC4 out! Sure you can't choose to be a Privateer and have the freedom to work for the King but as long as you enjoy raiding ships and plantations, then this game is for you!

As someone who has played MMORPGs since 2001 starting with Dark Age of Camelot, I highly recommend this game. The combat is very action oriented and makes it feel as if I'm playing a single player RPG and I really enjoyed it. I was one of those who hated reticule/action type combat in MMOs as I haven't seen any other MMORPGs that has done it well (including another big MMO that is currently in closed beta). However this game has changed my mind and I loved what Cryptic Studios did with the game.

There are currently only 6 classes and while they all seem very basic, you can play any of them and it's incredible the identity that Cryptic gave them. They all have unique mechanics and were well executed. Neverwinter is really a breath of fresh air for an MMO veteran.

The game itself isn't as large as other P2P/B2P MMOs like WoW or GW2, however Neverwinter has a map creation tool called the Foundry which allows anyone to create their own map with their own quests effectively putting the creator as the Dungeon Master. This means the content of the game will continue to increase even without the developers for as long as there are players that will put effort into creating maps and from what I can see, there are even guilds whose main purpose is to create maps in the Foundry.

I personally cannot comment on endgame as I've not reached it yet and I've only been in a handful of PvP matches but from what I've seen so far on my Devoted Cleric, I've been enjoying it so far although it would be great if more PvP maps were introduced.

Now do keep in mind all the above is free. The cash shop/zen store isn't intrusive and no efforts were made by the devs to push players into buying things. You can get anything you want from the zen store provided you've played long enough and have enough wealth to buy them yourself using in-game currency and there's no pay 2 win elements. The only benefit of buying from the zen store comes in twofolds, cosmetic and boosts i.e. faster mounts in early levels, equipment that levels with you (which is rubbish in endgame from what I'm told so it is only good for levelling) and etc. The game is an amazing timesink and with it being free, you have all the time in the world to get what you want. Even then, there's absolutely nothing wrong with spending at least 30-60 bucks on the game to support the devs of which you would have spent if you were to buy other B2P/P2P MMOs and other games. But as they have advertised, the game is 100% open to a free player and you do not need to spend a dime to enjoy the game your way.
