This game is great. Very in depth and has a large modding community which is great. It can be a little complicated if you don't want to play the Sandbox mode of the game. You have to be good at micromanaging as you don't only handle money but also resources. All-in-all a fabulous game with a somewhat steep learning curve. However when you master the curve you get to create Soviet Socialist art. Slava Ukraini!

I may have accidentally nodded off at work as a result of this damn game. I love this game, but my boss doesn't.

I'm not new to Paradox Games, but have had a love/hate relationship with them for a while. Their ideas have always been so damn good, but their execution seemed to lack. They were almost always too complicated for me, especially Hearts of Iron 3. A big fear for people is that this game will not have depth and complexity to it like it's predecesor. Don't be afraid! I have never seen anything like this game. It's takes all of this complexity and makes it into a fun and enjoyable experience all the while you are waging war across the vast Soviet Tundra, protecting Europe from Bolshevism, all the while Porche is helping you research Tiger tanks, while you are funding a Coup d'etat in America to bring the Silver League to power. Re-drawing invasion plans for the British Raj to secure the rubber production in the Malay peninsula for you planes that will be used for Operation Sea Lion. Buy the game! It is so worth it!

I've been trying to remain hopeful since 2015 but apparently 9 years is not enough for this game to come even close to being polished. This last patch has ruined everything. Just about every patch ruins this game. It's dead, 100 players, $60 ships for a $30 game with 100 player servers. Boarding is ridiculous and you would've thought that after 8 years of outcry from the players they would make it more interesting than paint drying. The OW is too big and the inter-clan diplomacy is silly. The game is very grindy and there seems to be as much as possible is put in your way to slow your rank advance. What a waste, what a shame.

The research and the models for the ships are outstanding, and the Naval Action in-game is so good, I generally get 5 hours of sleep a night because I can't hang it up. I can sit here and watch my ship sail after a battle for an hour it's so beautiful. But, overall it's very disappointing. The core of this game; the action is amazing. Everything else is terrible.This game also needs a single player mode... OR you can continue your development of Sea Legends or something along those lines.

Also, the networking code is terrible, when my internet has a little burp in it, I get completely logged out. I am hard wired into the internet too.
