its just amazing

this is a wannabe darksouls which punishes players by tying the best exp to killing the innocent....
if you so much as kill a single citizen you will not recieve the "good ending"...
the combat relies heavy on the stamina system which very quickly depletes during combat, literally 4 actions and your stamina is gone. which can't unfortunately be offset by adding points to stamina becuase as you use weapons that are your level or improve existing weapons it bumps up the stamina cost to use just as much as upgrading your stamina added..making investing into it feel more like a chore than an improvement.
the story is decent, the eviro is decent, the quest are even decent...but combat and darksoul style artificial "difficulty" just kills this game for me.

if you like dark souls, play this "dark souls lite" game...if you wanted a vampyr game that played more like "Prototype" completely skip this frustraiting pile....

this game is trash. dark souls clone that does a terrible job at it.

crash....play....4 hours later, crash.....play again....crash....uninstall

absolute must own.

The only thing I would do to make this interactive story (not really a game) better:
double raes walking speed...thats it...just double it, would still be a realistic blind walking speed.

Buy this on 50%+off sale and you wont be disappointed.

I made it 3 hours into this game before I couldnt bare to finish it.
The game caught me at the start with the old school point and click nostalgia, and at first I thought this will be great.
until I realized that the humor and writing was also exactly that same nostalgia, this game feels like it was written and created for children ages 6-12....All the jokes, and the dialogue are very very clearly geared for children, and it also goes as far as to insult you by treating you like a child right from the tutorial.

If the game had more adult dialogue, cruder humor, and dropped the stupid cutesy kiddie humor it would have been a home run. choosing so desperately to protect that pegi12 rating ultimately became its instant let down.

animation, voice acting, even cringy kiddie music were fine. The script being geared towards children, nah....
before anyone saids its not for kids citing a couple really stupid jokes children wouldnt even understand, or the person getting shot in the 2nd one....just bite your tongue..its a kids game, get over it.

now, if you are buying this for a child, 6-12....or if you are a hard core christian that just wants a fun puzzle game. this is the game for you....

while I didnt refund, I will say this hit my "unplayable trash" folder where it will perminently reside.

Outstanding narritive, touching story...
price is a bit steep at 20$ but if you can get it for 10$ or less its well worth it.

Ive read some of the reviews where people are considered "noobs" or think that people complaining want thier "hand held"

im 40mins into the game and I can very very clearly say this game has absolutely no direction at all, no goal, no story in the first 40 mins. thats VERY bad.

its not that I have any issue exploring the maps, my issue is with complete lack of any kind of goal. whats my purpose? what great evil am i trying to stop? wheres the amazing story I read about in other reviews, does it not start until 10 hours into this game? I have literally no attachment to the lead charecter at all and aside from seeing some black egg and freeing a couple baby catipillars it feels like a time sync mobile game with no objectives.

and before I get critisized, a good game grabs the players right from the start...want to see a platformer masterpeice go play ori and the blind forest...you become emotionally invested in the charecters right from the second you can move the charecter, and your objectives are clear without having your handheld.

I intend on contenuing to give this a chance, but after the 2 hour mark if this game hasnt devoloped any kind of actual story I plan on refunding on steam. candy crush saga had more story so far than this.
