When I think of Sakura Swim Club, I think about family. Its so cool. It is a literary masterpiece. I learned a lot about myself, and my friends, who are my own family. Before this game, I hated my father. I was always in his shadow! But now I learned, I can stand up for myself if I get two girlfriends. This game is about overcoming trauma, and I have never been so connected to a title. This game has given me confidence, I know I can find a beautiful waifu if I just follow the steps of this game!

The concept of the game is solid IMO. It allows teams to have the option of stealth in the beginning and allows opportunities for limited fighting and solo plays. Later, as teams try to extract the chest it devolves into a teamfighting phase, which provides a different situation and allows characters which struggle in one phase to excel in another. However, my biggest gripe with the game is the combat itself.

The combat can be broken up into two sections: melee and range.

Melee

The melee combat has potential to be interesting, but who wins often depends on who hits first as most hits stun your opponent for longer than your recovery period allowing you to just chain hit and kill people. The game also provides assassinations which can be triggered when crouched behind someone. However, the prompt to assassinate often doesn't show up, which results in your opponent simply turning around and killing you. The fact that blocks are broken by heavy attacks means that characters who don't have a dodge often just end up dead if they try to block.

Range

The range attacks in this game are the most frustrating mechanic in this game IMO. When both characters fully charge up their attacks and headshot, they can instakill. I don't think this mechanic is a problem, but the aiming system for these attacks is the worst system I have ever seen in a game. For the bow character, you have to aim with RMB, then charge up with LMB, and then release LMB. It feels so clunky and often the bow will refuse to fire when half charged. For the crossbow character, if she charges up and she doesn't have enough ammo to fully charge, sometimes it won't shoot. Furthermore, the hit reg can be absolutely terrible sometimes, and just makes ranged PVP way less enjoyable.

I would probably give this game a thumbs-up if they changed the ranged controls and made the melee combat have some more counter-play.
