Coming from PoE 1, the game is more difficult, slower, and takes longer to work through - but in so doing, the developers have given us room to have more fun moment-to-moment gameplay - it's more interactive as a player than the first game in a lot of big ways! I like it.

The boss designs are, mechanically, FANTASTIC and incredibly fun! Enemies in general are interesting and fun to play around, with only a few exceptions.

There's a lot to improve on, but the core is exceptional - it's different enough from PoE1 that I'll likely play both as they continue, but PoE 2 really feels like a result of a decade of learning on GGG's part in a great way.

This game feels like it has wonderful potential - and some absolutely talented artists & worldbuilders working towards it; it's an incomplete game that nonetheless feels really good in what content there is, and offers a fantastic foundation to add more. Seriously, the complaints I've seen really feel a bit unfounded.

I'm really excited for this game and its updates :)

The game was boring on launch (shoddy AI, poor diplomacy / espionage, and so on), but it takes me more than 2 hours to give it a try, so I never qualified for a refund - I've tried to pick it up a few times, but each game a few hours in it just... gets so completely boring.

Bought the DLC. Tried to give it a good run, but can't see the real content of the DLC until 6 hours in, therefore I couldn't really try it out before refund period was over :)

I'd absolutely refund it if I could :)

This is a masterpiece of a game, in the truest sense of what a game should be. Everything about it is cleverly made, and it continues to surprise and delight me - even after having made games for a decade and played them for two. The creative approach to problem-solving, the sheer _fun_ of each world's premise and what it gives you, it really feels like a labor of love that I'm thrilled to be enjoying.

I hope this game makes all the money, and the devs have an opportunity to enjoy a vacation before delighting us again, one day :)

If you've played FTL, it's got all the same charms but with a completely new set of mechanics to play around with. If you liked FTL, you'll like this (unless you have some aversion to tactics based games.)

For everyone else, be advised the FTL format is relatively short - the value lies in its replayability, which they nail pretty hard for a $15 game. Your first victory will probably take you 2-4 hours, but there are a bunch of different mechs and weapons to play around with to keep the life in it.

Highly polished, well-executed and pleasantly streamlined and elegant in its implementation. 10/10 would roast some bugs again

It's been in Early Access for like 4 days and y'all dumpstering it for server problems? They're not even that bad, and the server cap is stated as temporary - even then, it's pretty easy to get a game, and only had one disconnect. That's what Early Access is about.

If you can get into a game (not even hard tbh), the gameplay feels pretty damn polished and the map is exceptional, especially when competing against the likes of PUBG and other survival games. No performance issues, though I'm also running a monster, so there's that.

The atmosphere of this game is what sells it, and there's a tremendous base upon which to build that atmosphere out and into something even better - more bosses, more weapons, enemies, etc. - all things we should expect as development continues. What's already there is good, and I expect it'll get better.

Game is great.

The recent price hike ("normalization") was reverted, which is where the majority of the negative reviews came from.

DLC policy is arguable, but pretty fair with how much people get out of it. It could be better, but it's definitely not just terribad, and sales are pretty frequent.

One of the best games I've ever played. Rich narrative, gorgeous visuals, strong mechanics and all in an excellent port.

It's more than worth the $20 price tag; don't be turned away because it's a port of a six year old game; besides the video cutscenes, which are a little grainy, the game looks wonderful on my 1920x1080 monitor.

Supah dupah fun. Could use some balancing, though, or maybe some enemy respawns - things get rough quicker than you can level to handle them on Normal mode.
