I bought this game kinda skeptical since I rarely play multi-player games and I don't consider myself a very competent FPS player. However, this game kept me playing almost daily and features a very addicting gameplay loop. It maybe take some time to click but once it does, it surely does. The menus are a bit weird at first but you get used to it.

Yes it's hardcore, yes you'll die and lose your loot constantly. But the times that you succeed are so rewarding that will make want to play more and more.

The gunplay is top-notch, the guns are very interesting and unique and the characters are overly well balanced. The devs are constantly updating and tweaking stuff catering to the players.

And one thing that most players just overlook. The work on the lore is exceptional. Bungie is sure competent in environmental storytelling but every codex entry makes me want to learn more about this weird world and why the Tau Ceti colony collapsed that bad. You sure don't expect from an extraction shooter to have lore that is that good and codex entries that are voiced over and are actually interesting to read or listen.

Don't get me wrong, i enjoy and will enjoy playing this game for months to come but can't really recommend it, especially to new players of Tropico series.

Before releasing the game, the studio stated that the game will be more balanced and difficult from Tropico 5. That's of course is a good thing to do because tropico 5 was extremely easy once you mastered it's mechanics. The problem is that the game didn't became more balanced, it became more unfair in many aspects. The big maps are very beautiful but transportation options don't really help, Entertainment buildings provide fun only to buildings that are next to them which is strange especially for Eras after Cold Wars. You must put parking buildings everywhere and even with that cars take a lot of time to reach one destination.

Economy also works in a very bugged way. If you don't really know how the mechanics work, you will end up with negative treasury every month and the only solution is spamming the same industry buildings into big clusters.

The approval rating was rigged in tropico 5 also and there are signs of improvement but still need many more. Approval rating isn't based that much in the general happiness in sectors like fun quality or religious quality but in the approval of the factions. So if you please the factions then you will have good approval. Although if you choose to not make elections then don't think that you will have any chance of winning them any time in the future if you change opinion.

Building options are better than Tropico 5 and with more customization options. There is still room for improvements but in overall, i was satisfied.

This is not a bad game and still is fun to play, if you are willing to get through a circle of learning in the buggy mechanics of the game. Scenarios are still fun to play although i wanted more Characters other than the lovely Penultimo. Well Tropico 4 was the best in that case.

The game goes many steps forward in the Tropico series but all the things i stated in the review forbid me of recommending it to anyone. Of course you can ignore me and buy the game though. It's your choice

That's how an FPS should like.The Mechanics are excellent, the graphics are stunning and the content couldn't get more complete (collectibles,arcade mode etc).The story is average but you aren't here for the story for sure.Buy it without any hesitation.

Tropico is back with new features new eras and new buildings.Is that a true step forward?


The new features are really good like the era's and the new port system but while there are some new feautures in tropico 5 some others that where on tropico 4 are missing now.Almanac is too simple, the are only few clothes on the dinasty members and some buildings are missing while there are on tropico 4.Sequels are supposed to have more things from the previous games.

The i campaign is pretty good except the thing i miss the good old voice overs.Another good new feature is the online multiplayer that i really liked.There is also the technological tree on this game.I think that developers should have worked better on this one.I don't find spamming all my map with one building a really good idea and in the case of campaign the time required sometimes is really strict.The graphics on the game are really good.It is what i was expecting.

Now it's the time for the worst thing in the game.DLC's.Seriously there isn't that much time that the game is out and there are already 7 dlc's and 1 is coming out next week.It's preety disturbing.These dlc do nothing more than adding one song and 1 or 2 buildings on the game.It's like you bought the 65% of the game.This thing with the dlc's had started with tropico 4 and is continuing now.This has to stop

Πολύ διασκεδαστικό και με καλούς μηχανισμούς.Θα σας απασχολήσει αρκετές ώρες ιδιαίτερα άμα ασχοληθείτε με το campaign.Tο μόνο αρνητικό που μπορώ να βρω είναι οτι οι διαφορές με το 3 είναι ελάχιστες.Οπότε άμα σας αρέσουν τα παιχνίδια διαχείρισης και στρατηγικής θα λατρέψετε το tropico 4!
