A beautifully simple yet deeply strategic game. I love it.

Let me preface this by saying that I love open-world games, and I love sci-fi/space games with a focus on exploration and discovery. Obviously, I really wanted to like this game. I really, really wanted to like this game.

I can't say much for the game's actual content, cuz I was never even able to get to it. Sure, actually getting into the game was a hassle, but that wasn't going to stop me.

BUT THE CONTROLS! Seriously! What the crap!? This is the WORST control scheme I have ever witnessed in any game I've ever played... ever, in the history of.... ever. It mght pass for a flight sim (maybe), if this were about freakin airplanes!!! But even then, I felt like I was piloting a wet sofa!

But whatever! Maybe the SRV ground vehicle will be more fun. NOPE! All new controls that still make zero sense. A throttle!? On a ground vehicle!? Am I driving a lawnmower!?

And the tutorials? Absolutely no help whatsoever. Utterly useless. Of course I looked up videos and read forum posts and tweaked key bindings. Like I said, I REALLY wanted to like this game.

The content of the game (missions, story, whatever) might be fantastic, but I'll never know, and I am perfectly fine with that. I racked up a total of 2 hours of playtime before I'd simply had enough. Refunded. I can sincerely say, I did not enjoy a single minute of this steaming pile of game.
