I’ve never been big on extraction shooters, but Arc Raiders has completely surprised me. The game takes the core tension of the genre and reshapes it into something far more flexible and approachable. What really stands out is how many different playstyles it supports. If you want to go loud, you can. If you want to sneak, scavenge, and slip out unnoticed, that’s just as viable. In fact, with enough patience and awareness, you can extract without firing a single shot.

That freedom changes the whole experience. Instead of feeling boxed into constant firefights, you’re encouraged to read the environment, plan your route, and adapt on the fly. It rewards smart decisions just as much as sharp aim, which makes each run feel uniquely yours. For someone who usually bounces off this genre, Arc Raiders manages to strike a balance that’s both tense and genuinely fun.

Turn-based, computer fun!!! I am only scratching the surface on this game/series and after getting use to the game mechanics this game is fun and engaging.
