Although, prior to that article being published to their site, Jeremy Blum & Michael Tsarouhas(community manager) discussed the terms of their deal in more detail in their weekly live stream which I watched. Jeremy (Founder/Director) said Focus Home Interactive simply covers distribution and marketing without NWI losing any rights or ownership to their intellectual property or their company.

I've talked with several staff at NWI repeatedly and their perspective on the gaming industry is very similar to our own dev team. I respect their opinions, choices and if they approve of Focus then I'd be inclined to considering them as our publisher when our team is ready (if they'd have us).
