My experience from 8-10k hours of being in the community itself and playing the game:

Unturned is a solid game with great survival mechanics a huge world to explore, and plenty of creative freedom. However, its growth has been hindered by poor management behind the scenes. Nelson, the owner, has shown clear favoritism toward certain members, while disregarding the actual creators who helped build the game. These creators made some of the best maps and generated the most revenue, but they were never supported or properly valued by Nelson.

While the game itself remains fun, it's clear that Unturned could have been even better if the contributions of its creators had been recognized and nurtured. Instead, internal decisions have held it back, preventing it from reaching its full potential.
