everyone else in the review section is just talking about the english localization, so i'm gonna give the actual gameplay a review for anyone who's looking for something else to read than just "plz fix eng vers"

my rating in a nutshell: 7.8/10, fun game, not much content to play for more time

the story and characters are interesting, the visuals are adorable, the music is great! i like rhythm games and i resonate with the protagonist a lot. i had a great time finding out more about the characters and how everything in the protagonist's world came to be. no real issues with that~

you should, however, only play it if you're looking for a story + rhythm game, because if you only want a story like a VN, you need to play (or afk...) a LOT of the rhythm game segments to experience more story. and if you're only looking for a rhythm game experience, you are better off playing a different game, because i find the amount of music quite small even with DLC (especially for how much they expect you to play for some of the achievements in this game) and even a basic feature you'd expect in a rhythm game like marking a song as a favorite is, currently, not present as far as i can tell.

the gameplay loop is fine, for the true ending you are expected to go through a bunch of songs and get a random conspiracy leveled up, for every conspiracy in the game. i found this a bit boring and repetitive but the game is apparently aware of this because they give you a couple of options for AFK-ing the game... i don't really enjoy that aspect but oh well. i would prefer if there was more content because otherwise to me, it comes off as padding for playtime hours (i have 24 right now and i'll probably end up with like 40 hours by the time im done with the game)

(some spoilers ahead!)
a lot of the features outside of the rhythm game feel underdeveloped or underutilized:
- heeere's mommy mode is entirely useless outside of one thing, and the demo made me believe it would be more integral, especially to the main gameplay experience (i thought i'd have to tab out during music gameplay segments, or during intense story moments or something).
- traveling between rooms in the household is literally just the two rooms you see in the demo... i thought you'd get to maybe travel to mommy's room or learn more about daddy somewhere else in the house while mommy is at work or SOMETHING but no, really in the endgame, it's only useful to drink energy drinks from the fridge. at least it's accurate i guess. only leave your room for food and drinks.
- there is a lot of general missing potential for loose threads that, as of right now, can only be loosely speculated on and not really much else. why did mommy make qtie sign a bloodpact? why did mommy originally hate her even before her hikikomori lifestyle took hold? there's plenty of THEORY potential and i personally find those avenues interesting but there isn't much to substantiate it, and i think if the rest of the game's features were more thoroughly expanded upon and utilized, the story experience would be enhanced

still, i had a great time with the bulk of the game, but right now the only reason i'm still playing is because of this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ achievement to reach 10 billion followers. there is NOT enough content to pursue that naturally. i think the game is very fun, but overall a bit lacking in some aspects! i do really like it though and so my review is positive, because i want the game to improve from here ^_^

cute, fun game! the visual style is very charming, the villagers are designed very cutely between the young, elder, and yokai variants, and you can pet the cats!! if this game ever has more to offer in the future, i definitely see myself playing it. 5 preset levels and a free play mode are a fair bit of content, especially for the price of this game. $5 is not asking much at all, and it's even on sale at the time i'm writing this. if you like cute, cozy resource management style games, definitely give it a try

its short but fun! i was able to 100% the achievements in just short of 3 hours. very fun game, will definitely play any future updates
