I had high hopes for this game when it first launched as an EA.
However, it´s been almost 5 years since then and the game has progressed so very little you wouldn't really be able to tell it's been so long in development.

My main gripe is the lack of meaningfull updates, given the fact that the Devs make way too big of a fuss out of the little updates, which ultimately are so underwhelming that the game feels like it's always about to be abandoned - being stretched thin to appear as if being worked on.

At this point I can't recommend this to anyone. It's too shallow of a citybuilder and shows some worrying signs about the devs ability, or will, to actually deliver what they promised so long ago.

If you want a management sim game, this isn't it.

Everything is very linear and progression locked, where guests kind of take care of themselves.
My main gripe is that B&B customization is constrained to rooms in pre-set houses and the mechanics are location locked. Also, there aren't any setbacks or finances to control. Everything is just so very simple that it feels like it's made for children (perhaps it is).

I'd give it a neutral review rather than a positive one.

Zero bugs, well polished, fun singleplayer base building gameplay...

This game reminds me of game launches in the early 2000s, a time where costumers weren't used as beta testers

As far as an early access game goes, this is a gem. Fun and stable - updates are frequent and meaningful to the gameplay. It might be a bit bare to the bones right now but it already came a long way since launch.

It's more of a casual area-control boardgame than anything, so much so that they made an actual boardgame out of it and it plays the same.

Northgard has nice aesthetics but it's not really a city or an empire builder on the likes of AoE. So, my take on a few reviews here is that people who never played AoE are comparing this game to it without any context. Extremely light resource management, you can't chose where to plop down buildings as you see fit and army management is non-existent. Saddly, it's a toddler's RTS.

So, as long as you know what you are getting into perhaps you'll like it. Me, I find the game's description and store images somewhat misleading, thus the negative review.

The game that could've been.

This DLC gives your hospital a more complete feel to what the real thing is - a must in my book.
But it does "only" adds flavor as it builds upon the previous trauma mechanics.
For what it is and what it does, I'm happy to purchase it and support the devs. Hopefully, it lays the foundations for a more complex DLC in the future

These developers have continuously come up with meaningful DLC and constant support to the game. Recommended!

Fair priced and not essential to the game, but a great addition to it.
Hoping for more!
