This is an amazing game. I'm a fan of Hololive so I am part of this game's main demography, but even for people who aren't fans of Hololive, this is still an insanely good platformer. The core gameplay is great, very satisfying platforming and combat. The stages are all unique, both visually and mechanically. The game keeps throwing new mechanics at you all the way up to the very end to keep everything fresh and exciting. There are lots of enemy variety. The soundtrack is banger. But what constantly blow my mind are the boss fights. The boss fights are all very unique and creative, especially later on where the battles are incredibly cool and cinematic. Chrono Gear is just such a beautiful game that I can't recommend enough, both for Hololive fans and any 2D platformer fans.

This game became one of my favorite games of all times. The freedom to explore and experiment is unmatched. There's just so many things to do, and so much to explore. The game scratched my wanderlust like no game has ever done. I got so addicted to this game, which is something that hasn't happened in a while.

Really fun demo. I've never played a flight sim before so took me a while to fully grasp how the game works. Controls are still a bit janky. There's no way to change the sensitivity for controller joystick, and you have to hold down the missile button for it to fire missile, pressing once or spamming the button seems to not fire missiles most of the time.

Wow, this demo is amazing. The music, the sprite, the action, everything. The Marine Battleship stage is so cool! Brought me right back to my Megaman X4 days. Really looking forward to the full release.

Cute and charming little metroidvania. It's not ground breaking, but enjoyable to play.

Really fun game. I love the art and the animations. Building a deck and strategizing around different enemies' abilities is very satisfying. I'm looking forward to how the gameplay evolves as the game progresses in the full release. My wish is that there will be a bit of voice acting in the full release, but I understand that that's not an easy thing to do.

This is an overall review of the game after 73hrs and finishing the story mode. I'll do my best to not include any spoilers. I'll review the gameplay, graphics, music, and story of the game.

The gameplay has the most creative turn-based combat mechanic I've ever seen. Each playable character has their own unique play style and mechanics. Characters have interesting synergies with each others, so it's fun to try out different team comps.(I exclusively use the girls in my teams) Enemies, especially bosses, also have unique and interesting mechanics to deal with when fighting them. The boss fight designs in this game are just amazing. The random factor of each run is also interesting and make the game more fun instead of just being there for the sake of the "roguelike" lable.

For graphics, the game mostly uses 2D sprites and particle effects. The character designs are gorgeous, skill cut-ins are cool, and overall, the game looks great. The devs were very creative with their use of 2D sprites and particles to create different visual effects, so you'd be surprise by how great the game looks with such limited graphics.

The soundtrack is full of bangers. Exploration and battle music are great, but the boss fight music are a whole nother level. The music for the unique story bosses really emphasize the weight and importance of the fight. It's ashame that the soundtrack isn't available on Steam.

Now the story, I'll be honest, the story is nonsensical at best, and slop at worst. It's full of plotholes, plot points that make no sense, premises that just exist so the story can move forward. The game will force you to read through the story by making you sit through really long, boring visual novel sections where characters just yab on and on about exposition. There's no subtlety here. There are some decent moments when the story focuses on individual characters, but overall its just bad. At least the story does a good job of hyping up story bosses, so I don't recommend skipping it.

Overall, I definitely recommend the game. This is some of the most fun I've ever had in roguelikes and turn-based combat. Just be ready to slog through the story.

Fun game, the combat takes a bit to learn, but rewarding when you get the hang of it. Battles have a variety of creative mechanics and gimmicks so you can't just DPS your way through everything. The game offers a lot of ways to build your characters and party composition.

The finale of the game is a bit disappointing, though. There's no sense of epic climax, no real build up, and the final battle is just a huge stat check.

Finally, a way for me to prove once and for all that my oshi is the most seiso and strongest idol. Time to make her proud.
