I'm going to say this right now: If you want to see a decent result after an hour of starting the game, you will be disappointed.

This is, for the most part, less of a game and more of a creative engineering sandbox with "military" and "sci-fi" as an aesthetic. You will be pouring most of your time in this game building and testing things you make. Ship-building is super in-depth (but not to a point of a true "simulator" game). Aero/hydrodynamics, armor, engines, AI control, and modular weapons are the standout points of the game that you get to learn. Everything here is so versatile: "Yea if you want to make a torpedo, you start with a missile" or "A fast-firing CWIS that 30mm shells and a 300mm APHE railgun use the same weapon type" It's a fun game with building systems that end up leaving you to mess around with them for hours.

That is, if you can stomach the worse bits of it.

This game does have issues.

The UI/UX is super unintuitive. You're clicking at least 3 times after pressing E to get the 1>2 transition slope (left). You're pressing Q on things on your ship to bring up some menu that would otherwise go inaccessible (access to the APS gun is on the firing pin, good luck finding that sometimes). Breadboard UX makes me wish for a time where interacting with a graph really only needed one mouse button.

The "unique block-placing system" while faster to work with if you know how it works, is just hard to learn, especially if you come from any other sandbox-like engineering game.

The camera feels alien if you've ever touched.. a video game (Blender/Maya might be fine though). In my opinion, it's not nearly as bad as people make it out to be.

The tutorials of the game are kinda bad. They're basic and give you some elementary knowledge of the game. But in reality, if you actually want to learn anything you're hitting up Youtube videos and discord threads. (GModism + Borderwise are pretty good).

Multiplayer... exists? I basically hear nothing about it. (I really want them to add a PvP campaign. But all I see is "battlebots" and co-op)

The RTS-like map mode has some finnicky interactions; since everything exists in a 3D plane, but it's a top-down map, things really high-up are almost unselectable at times. When you have too many fleets in close proximity, it's really hard to understand what you're looking at. And selecting + moving units just feel unresponsive or wrong at times.

I would recommend this game if this kind of thing is in your interest. If you like spending time to build, fail, and try again.

I would not recommend this game if you want a surface-level sense of accomplishment. Nor if you play games because the game tells you that you're doing good. The game will not lay out a string of candy for you to follow. You need to make your own goals, and achieve them yourself.

A great narrative ride from start to finish. The models looked great and the animation was very entertaining!

This is baby's first fighting game. I love it.

Hand memes and be angry. Play with friends, watching others getting frustrated with the game is 80% of the fun.

Ok, first thing: is this a horror game?
Yes, but in a different kind of feel. The game puts you on edge, especially near the beggining of the game when you dont know that many abnormalities (aka SCPs). One false move and you could loose a lot of employees. Of course, you could reset the day and more or less remove this "fear" (but thats not cool).

Do you like management games?
Yes: then this game does a great job at keeping you busy, creating routines and strategizing workflow for your employees.
No: then prepare for what could be a nightmare of trial and error, figuring out strategies for dealing with abnormalities.

Do you enjoy juicy lore?
Yes: good, there is a lot of lore to go around for each abnormality (some more than others in my opinion).
No: well, you don't have to read the lore.

Do you enjoy the idea of starting over?
Yes: this game will run you into walls sometimes.
No: this game WILL run you into walls.

Are you prepared to nonstop think about a game?
Yes: good, this game will make you think
No: get ready for at least one restless night of thinking about the game.

Are you that kind of person that like cute anime-style females/males?

This game will steal your life from you. Basically, it's great.
