Friends aren’t there for your personal ego boost as needed upon demand. Friends are those people whom you form a bond with over time through mutual experiences. Every friendship ends one way or another. You travel along the road of life meeting people, some headed in the same direction as you, some take different paths and turns that lead them away from you, while others actually impeed your travels and cause conflict.

I see you as the beggar on the side of the road with the hand out for friendship change. Who knows, maybe you really do need a friend or maybe it’s just a scam to entertain yourself.

You can’t force friendship, if so, then there is an alterior motive. Trying to be someone’s friend whom you admire isn’t real friendship, it’s a selfish ego trip to become what you envy. A real friend proves themself when you least expect it, not when you ask for it. A real friend wouldn’t ask you to prove it either, it would just happen and in that moment you suddenly see what you never saw and how good a friend they really are.

Your best friends are always overlooked and you can’t choose your real friends, life just happens that way. An event or a continual period of companionship through lifes experiences is what makes those real friendship bonds.

Some of the people that I call my best friends, I may not see, much less hear from, for months or a year at a time. But when I do see them again, we pick up just like we saw each other yestaurday. We don’t bust each others balls about how come you don’t call or email or whatever, maybe they were busy, maybe I was busy, but here we are now so game on.

I know in highschool everything is different; you make decisions about friendship based on other priorities. 1st being survival, 2nd: acceptance, 3rd: sex and so on. Sit back and think about what you as a person really value and who you are. Who around you treats you the way you would like to be treated and why? Just be you and soon enough you’ll find others like you
