Insanely annoying that if something happens after you start a match and you save and go to title it will auto run the rest of the match and assume you lose.

Pretty cool losing an important match in career mode because I had to quit to menu to use my computer for something else for awhile.

Game is great, servers are abysmal. I have never had more than 2 bars in this game and tend to get between 40 and 60 ping in other games. Constant issues with lag and frame dropping that all of my friends experience.

The troops, maps, and difficulty curve are all really solid. Surprisingly solid music and sound design as well, all things considered.

Absolute gem of a game. If you've played games like Hearthstone or Magic the Gathering, and enjoy the tropes of the modern rogue-lite then this title may be for you. Different classes with multiple deck building opportunities for all of them, as well as enough enemies, trinkets, and randomized events to keep things interesting. Some runs you are a god, others a hobbling mess stumbling through Act 2. The workshop is active and has new classes, encounters, and areas to explore so there is real fun to be had.

Sometimes tough, but a fair and rewarding experience that you are able to understand more and more as you play. If you're safe with your decision making then chances are you'll be able to beat this game on standard difficulty with the right team pretty consistently. Trying to find the balance between where to spend your gold and when to progress in the storyline is important as the world seems to progress as you make your way through key quests. The free updates that have added new game modes keep the replayability high, as well as the myriad of items on the lore store. All in all, I've played over 100 hours mostly with friends and have experienced bugs seldom if ever. The game is a fun balance between taking an active role and looking at the overarching goals. If you enjoy turn based games or are looking for something new to play with a small group this is 100% worth a shot.

Rocket League is great. I, however, am mediocre.

Similar enough to Overwatch to feel familiar, but different enough to grant you new types of fun. Teamwork is important and although there are some minor character imbalances there seem to be a lot of teams that can hack it at higher levels.

Ranking seems a bit off in how they qualify you and casual play can be divisive. Above Diamond in ranked you can only play with one other friend. Because of that, you'll find that casuals are filled with either new players that you destroy or very high level players that trap you. To explain why I think ranking may be off, I have a large group I play with regularly and we have qualified together with similar end-stats but placed in notably different tiers regardless of where we were in seasons prior.

All cons aside, the game is actually very enjoyable with characters that feel unique and have personality to them. Each role is very important but for the most part two tanks is the overarching meta. Queue time is not that long (usually sub 2 minutes) except at the highest level. There is time to discuss character choices although no promises your team will actually choose to do so. The maps are hit or miss but mostly hit, with there being really only a couple that are frustrating dominated by a subset of characters. Skins are nice for the most part but far too chance oriented and expensive. For a free game though with nothing behind a paywall at all I can't complain.

This game gets a lot of heat for what it used to be but in its current form there are no ways to improve your characters by paying money or in game gold and everyone is on the same level. There are a myriad of bugs you might run into while playing but for me and most of the people I play with they are few and far between. Still, it's frustrating to have Khan's ultimate not go off or to deal with the coin toss that is Terminus. All in all, a great game I've had a lot of fun with but could use a bit of TLC.

I owned this back in the day directly through Windows Games I believe, and have always viewed it as one of the very first indie titles to breach into any sort of mainstream success. Bought it again to run through it on OCD mode and for nostalgic purposes, and there isn't too much to say that hasn't been hammered into the ground already I am sure. That being said, World of Goo has some qualities that may allow it to further stand the test of time; from the mysteriously charming "Sign Painter" to the often ingenious puzzle mechanics, its place among recent gems is relatively sealed.

A word to the wise, it seems like online mode is defunct.
