"Disclaimer: Supporter Edition does not include access to future chapters of ENA: Dream BBQ."

So that pretty much all but confirms that future chapters will cost money, but after how much work went into Chapter 1, yeah that's totally fine. And I'm even more fine with having dropped the 10 bucks on the supporter edition before even playing the game because the amount of content in Chapter 1 alone is worth the price of admission. Can't wait for more.

Includes one of my favorite renditions of Eternal Wind, a funny one man band version of Battle at the Big Bridge, and a generally great blend of high octane rock and slower orchestral pieces. A very nice accompaniment to the main OST, for $10 you can't go wrong.

This game wears its inspirations on their sleeve with pride, and in all fairness I think it earns the right to. The hangoutability of each location can't be understated. Snuggle Bug clearly understands how to create very lived in environments that are large enough to house secrets and fun platforming, while also small enough that you can become very familiar with their layouts. Despite the less than stellar animations, the game plays pretty great. At first I thought the secret levels would be unfair but they're all very short and not overly challenging, managed to beat all of them on my first try. I kind of wish falling off maps wouldn't send you back to the hub, especially in the cruise level, but there's a lot of checkpoints in terms of mission completion so I never felt I was penalized too harshly.

Overall, pretty good, I quite liked this one! I look forward to more in the future.

I'm completely captivated by this game. All of the cool locations you go to, interesting characters you meet, and overall great sense of tone had me floored. Each area so perfectly captures a certain vibe, from relaxing and welcoming, to ominous and unnerving. While I wish that the start up speed for flight was a bit faster, the top speeds you can reach are really fast and many areas take full advantage of it. Combat isn't really a selling point for the game, I didn't die in combat a single time but I think for the type of game this is, focusing more on exploration and atmosphere, I'm alright with it. Genuinely this whole package is such a pleasant surprise.

I also loved all the nods to games like Pokemon and Ace Attorney.

I remember playing the demo for this game a few months back during a Steam Next Fest. It was a bit rough, especially with the number of assets clearly taken from some storefront, but I enjoyed the little bit of game it offered. Flash forward to now and my first impressions were still very similar. Charming but nothing to go crazy over. Then the last chunk of the game happened and I was completely enthralled by the new platforming and combat mechanics introduced. Add onto all that some genuinely awesome moments of environmental storytelling, a really cool final boss, and a really nicely animated music video you get after beating the game, and this went from a neat and affordable novelty to one of my favorite games of the year so far.

The story is told without any dialogue so there's a lot left up to interpretation, but I felt like I was able to follow along since it is a somewhat secondary objective. Exploration done through platforming is rewarded with necessary power ups like health and stamina increases, and additional projectiles. The platforming was never demanding or punishing, and neither was combat really. I think I died a total of 4 or 5 times in my playthrough. There is a little polish missing here and there, I got stuck by clipping into an object once, and the camera can go crazy when being knocked around by heavy hitting attacks, but nothing I wasn't able to overlook.

I liked this one a lot and kind of hope more people give it a try and enjoy it without writing it off immediately as an asset flip. I am glad to see the untarnished 100% Steam rating at the time of writing this though!

Stylish, eerie, furry. These are the three buzzwords I'd pick for Pseudoregalia. I played the game jam build back when that came out on a 12 hour airplane ride, which meant I couldn't look up help, and found myself utterly lost but engrossed in the environments and movement. The Steam release is at its core everything I liked about the original release, but with added content and polish.

Gonna have to dig into it more, I might even update the review once I finish it.

Incredibly cute, perfectly paced, and very cozy. The third location is a favorite of mine.
