After 10 hours and about 30-40 runs I would give this a mixed review if it was possible.

The movement and combat feels good. The premise of the game, the world and the characters are interesting and fun to interact with and explore.

However the rest of the mechanics are major letdown to the point that you always feel like you just started the game with little to no progress. You can unlock bunch of new weapons but the drop rate for them is so low that you won't get to see or use most of them - You can get them either from store or only from specialized rooms. You can unlock bunch of food items with different effects but again drop rate is so low you won't ever get to see most of them. You can upgrade store to get better items but it lasts only for that run and you need to spend resource that is so rare you'll ever get to see one per run so it feels pointles. You can upgrade weapons and spells but after first upgrade you need to spend the rare resource which you don't have so it feels pointless. You get to unlock elevator that allows you skip to the bosses down the line but you get one spell and small health upgrade to start with so unless you know moveset of the boss like back of your hand you're better off starting the game the normal way otherwise you'll be underpowered for rest of the run. It's very difficult to create a build or have a strategy for the run since you'll get barely anything and the little you get is completely random.

Bosses and mini bosses are generaly ok but compared to rest of the enemies the difficulty spike is there and it can be frustrating. The very rare drops makes battles with normal mobs pointless as well since you only risk getting hit with no reward to show for it.

When I compare this game to Hades 1 and 2 or Dead Cells and in this game I feel like I am stepping in place with very small progression. There's not even interesting story or lore to carry the non-existent progression-

There is easy mode to unlock but it does very little to make this game easier to digest because it's focused on combat but the combat is not issue with this game. The incredibly stingy drops are the issue and there's nothing you can do about them.

This is the best Digimon Story game yet. Cyber Sleuth and Hacker's memory are still great and worth playing but Time Stranger takes these games into whole another level.

It's fun just to run around evolving Digimon and discovering all the volutions, the story is interesting play on Roman Mythology mixed in with modern world.

Locations are beautiful and lively and they change with story to mirror the state of the world.

Combat is turn based and it's balanced just right. There are some easier bosses and enemies and there are some that will challenge you and push your and your Digimon to new levels.

72 hours in I don't want this game to end and I'm enjoying every side quest and activity and I'm not sure I will be done with this game even in 100 hours.

Also get the DLC with Digimon costumes it makes game better.

The game is fun and it is challenging but it has some major issues in my opinion.

The enemies become bullet sponges towards the end. It's really bad when you have to empty half of the gun into just normal enemy for it to go down. It gets annoying real soon. It gets even more annoying when enemy is flying so it's hard to hit then you can wave good bye to most of your ammo. I upgraded all of my guns but the upgrade feel pointless when the gun does next to no damage to just fodder enemy.

The game has bad pacing towards the end and it has some padding to make the game longer than it is. When character say "This is it! This is source of the Evil" I'm expecting that there will be one or two rooms max with final boss battle not a whole map full of bullet sponge enemies, without any checkpoints and with areas where fall means instant death.

Also it might be just me or my settings but the character handles like tank with controller. It takes 3-4 seconds to do 360° turn.

Since Steam had only black&white rating system I'll go with I recommend this game because up until the few final levels the game has been super fun and the boss battles were enjoyable. I'd wish this game didn't have this padding to extend the play time and bullet sponge enemies.

It feels like a Doom and plays like a Doom.

Love the story, characters were about as good as you'd expect in Doom game. Game goes by the rules of cool but it's done in good way that makes you go whoah everytime it does something cool.

Combat is super fun it's challenging but all weapons makes sense and can be used to clear the demon horde. Level designs are huge improvement over Eternal and it makes exploring and collecting items a lot more fun.

Yes the optimization is not great and I wish this game ran on Steam Deck as well - it does run but looks like something from early 2000 and not 2025.

Outside of that the game is super fun. I love the battles, the weapon designs and combat even if it takes some while to get used to.

If you have good PC then I recommend this game. If you PC is older be prepared that you have to do some tweaking to get the game run well.

I love this game. It's dark, it's creepy. The game really pushes you into exploration and it really rewards your exploration by giving cool lore and story bits, weapons and resources.

The game is one of those where story is not necessarily explained and narrated for you rather it's found via exploration and reading.

The remake port is awesome. I can run it pretty smoothly on PC with i5-6600k and 1060 6GB in 4k and still hit around 60fps and I haven't had one crash or glitch yet.

The only thing that grinds my gears is that the cloud saves are still not working and it's annoying AF since I tend to travel between two places where I have PC to run this game yet I need to manually sync my saves between them and it's a shame.

Devs please FIX the cloud saves!

This game is fun and beautiful to looks at.

The only thing I have problem in this game are the difficulty spikes... Most of the jumps and puzzles are very simple almost boring and repetitive and then you get to the one section in whole level that seems almost impossible.

This game also can't decide if it wants to be a jumping puzzle action game or arena beat the up game because it wants to do both but not's not great at either.

If you like platformer or metroidvania games give this game a try but be aware it can be frustrating at times

This game is really good but it starts really slow and everybody talks too damn much and ofter times characters speak without saying anything important for joke that is not remotely funny.

Make sure to take breaks or your thumbs will hurt like hell

This game was challenge and quite bit of fun with some infuriating moments.
If you like jumping and slashing around then this game will be fun for you.

Will I play this game ever again? Nope. The last sequence nearly gave me carpal tunnel.

It's great remaster of the game with much needed changes to the combat and driving mechanics of the ME1. It's still remaster not a remake so the game is showing it's age in some places and there are bugs that were present in original games too.

Overall it's worth it but Origin needs to be installed to serve as DRM service. It sucks but it's EA so we can't expect anything else. But it's that bad just make sure you disable origin overlay so it's not overlapping with steam overlay.
