Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP is one of those unique gems that just plain works. The art direction is both bizarre and beautiful, and the soundtrack is one of the best I have ever heard in gaming. The story is so simple yet insanely deep, and the ending is one to think about for a long time. Although it is a short 4-hour campaign, it is very much a deeper game than the majority of AAA games on the market. Superbrothers is just plain brilliant.

But on the flip side, the controls are pretty bad on PC/Mac. Unfortunately, the game was original designed and released on iOS, and it suffers in transition. Moving the screen around, zooming in and zooming out, and combat are all much more complicated with the mouse than with touch screen.

But despite the bad controls, this is very much a worthy investment and one of the most unique and powerful indie games I have ever played. Definitely a recommend!

Goat Simulator!! Okay, on paper, this games sounds as stupid as it possibly can be. However, it is strictly comedy and full of gaming puns. Despite it not being a very deep game, there are a ton of random and silly things to do. Controls are easy enough, but some times controlling the soaring or jumping aspects of Goat Sim can be a real pain.

Overall, it is a very fun game with lots of random and goofy things to do. If you ever find it on sale on Steam, I highly recommend downloading it.

Guacamelee is one of the best original Metroidvania game in a very, very long time. The graphics are absolutely beautiful, the characters are hilarious, the powerups are super-cool, and the music is fantastic.

I can't recommend this game enough. It's so good, I've literally bought it on 3 platforms, including STEAM. Buy this game and support this amazing company! You will not be disappointed.

This is a tough one for me. I'll recommend Gone Home, because it is relatively interesting with some decent storytelling. However, I found it to be lacking in a lot of ways. The game can be cleared easily in under an hour with zero knowledge going into it, and that is even counting full exploration. If you want to speed run it, you can literally beat the game in about 5 minutes or less.

The narative is interesting, but I wouldn't consider it mindblowing by any means. I heard a ton of good things about Gone Home, but I fall into that area where I just find the game to be mediocre. It's a nice, quick passing, but it's nothing to write home about.

Rogue Legacy is unbelievably good! Take on the task of reliving the same horror over and over and over again as you try to destroy the enemies your ancestors failed to kill. The funny thing; You are all of the ancestors. The more you play, the more generations are represented.

Rogue Legacy is a super-fun indie action/platformer/RPG with a great twist! You never keep playing as the same character, and the traits (Both good and bad) are passed down to each generation. I had one knight who suffered from severe vertigo, and then my next character was a mage who suffered from IBS and nearsightedness. It's insanely comical, but also extremely deep. I can't recommend the game enough!
