I really wanted to like this game, but sadly it made a terrible first impression.

The UI is all over the place. The former sidebar gave an easy overview of where everything was, and while there were a lot of menus they were accessible.

The FM26 UI is abrasive as hell. So many extra clicks, wasted space on some screens even on my 22" monitor and some vital screens reduced to pop-ups. Training and finances should not be pop-ups, they are now difficult to navigate and nowhere near as engaging considering how vital these parts of the game are.

The match engine is very nice, but not without faults. You have to click multiple times to get into a game, there isn't a 1.5x speed option and the dynamic highlights option seems to drag on no matter the context of the game.

This game needs so much work. It's seriously lacking in quality of life features and is nowhere near as approachable as previous FM games. I would not recommend the game in its current state.
