Dull. The opening hook is doing some mining, and it doesn't really improve. The writing is awful and boring; almost none of the characters are interesting, and after a dozen hours I'd happily push all of the companions out of an airlock.

You spend all your time doing chores instead of anything actually fun. A thousand stars to visit and you you spend your entire time in loading screens just fast travelling everywhere.

I originally liked this game. The gameplay loop was solid and novel. But.... after a few hours it starts to become very monotonous.

What's worse is the game is interspersed with a story that is unskippable, non-interactive, and incredibly obnoxious. It has no interaction with the gameplay, and doesn't add anything to the experience. It's full of incredibly cliched characters playing out trope stereotypes, and reads like it was written by a second year English major bitter about their last job working at McDonalds. It ruins an otherwise enjoyable work simulator.

Cross between a city builder and an RTS. Mechanics are fun and story is interesting.

Great concept but incredibly short.

Several years on, the game is mechanically brilliant.

The story is ok. The characters are mostly dislikeable.

It's just not very fun. You spend a lot of time flying around painfully slowly, you have to land on planets to collect mineral resources.... most of which just get traded for money. Exploring quickly becomes boring.

The ships are also too slow for the combat to be fun.

Not particularly fun, it is just a big grind fest.

It's a bit of a clicking simulator.

Short, buggy.
