Can't recommend with the constant crashes, inconsistent frames, and stuttering. Almost shocking that a game from this decade could have such poor optimization. Gameplay and story would have been fun if it weren't for the infinite technical issues

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a beautiful, captivating RPG that blends stunning visuals with some of the most satisfying turn-based combat I’ve played in years. Easily the best RPG I've played in recent memory. While the writing/pacing in Act 3 weren't as great as Acts 1 and 2, the overall story is still well worth experiencing. Also maybe a contender for one of the best soundtracks of the year

I love how customizable the combat is with the variety of abilities to fit your exact play style, but I imagine alot of people default to a glass cannon OHK Maelle build

Even if turn based RPGs aren't your thing, if any part of the trailers has you even remotely interested, please give this game a try. It's worth it

Would only recommend if you have large amounts of time to strategize and plan your base/wave. The game scales at a quick rate even at lower difficulties and forces you to play a certain way. Not a good RTS if you're looking for a relaxing, fun time.

Fantastic sequel by Asobo. The gameplay mechanics from the original have all been improved upon. It feels so rare now to see well done narrative-driven games, so when you do encounter them, it's worth giving them their flowers. Great music and great dialogue.

Only minor complaints I could think of are some of the camerawork in the interactive cutscenes where you're only running was a little frustrating. Some areas had clipping issues where you'd get stuck on a random wall.

Other than that, this is a very worthy sequel

Bland Zelda clone with too much empty space

Can no longer play with friends by either Steam invite or invite code on my PC or laptop. Can only play on Steam Deck. Otherwise, a fun co-op cooking sim like Overcooked but with a lot more variables to make the game more complex and interesting.

Fantastic addition to the AC series but with much more focus on the combat than the stealth aspects.

There's a lot of the same copy/paste fluff you can come to expect of the series, but my biggest gripe is Ubisoft Connect that more often than not would crash my game session or prevent me from booting up in the first place. There's also parts of the game that will bug out and you just have to reload a previous save until you no longer encounter the bug (like the Fenrir battle where he gets stuck underground perpetually).

Overall a fun game that's plagued by the usual Ubisoft woes. Only worth grabbing when on sale, never at full price

Some achievements locked behind DLC. Otherwise, a fun management sim
