As someone who lives for the pain and satisfaction of games like Dark Souls and Elden Ring, Nightreign definitely delivers that tough love. It’s fast, punishing, and surprisingly smooth in some areas, but it does have some stuff missing.

Here are some of my thoughts regarding this great game!

Pros:
🔥 8 unique Nightfarers to choose from.
🤝 Multiplayer is actually smooth! Big upgrade compared to the usual jank in Soulsborne titles.
💀 Bosses are brutal, and even regular mobs will mess you up if you’re not careful.
🌍 Dynamic map with fast-paced exploration, and the shrinking ring keeps you moving.
⚔️ Combat feels great, weapons are fun to use, though a bit more variety wouldn’t hurt.

Cons:
⏳ Might not have long-term staying power unless updates come frequently.
🎁 Boss loot feels underwhelming – legendaries are too rare, and passives are kinda boring (just stat boosts).
🗺️ Map variety could be better – changes are minor, and the core layout stays mostly the same.
👹 Needs more bosses! You can never have too many epic fights.
🗨️ No real communication tools which makes teamwork in random lobbies kinda rough.

Overall i would give this game an 8.5/10. Although this probably could be a big DLC instead of a stand alone game, but still anything from FromSoftware is still worth the purchase at full price in my opinion!
