It's a fun game. You have to constantly think about spacial positioning, your skills, and upcoming enemy actions.

This is a fun game! If you like the genre, then this is absolutely worth playing. The races are distinct. The aesthetic is great (visual and sound). And they've come up with creative solutions to some of the pitfalls of the classic RTS games that have been around for decades. For example, they've created some gameplay options that make the learning curve more friendly, while still giving the option for pros to do things the hard-core way.

Side note: I read some of the negative reviews of this game and they are mostly nonsense.

One of the best games of all time! Great art, audio, and overall aesthetic. However it's the gameplay that makes it truly fantastic. Such a good game.

great simulation with a wide range of dials/controls for tweaking the behaviors, priorities, etc. Plus the art is great, just like all the Klei games.

This is a fun game. If you like "turn based" and "RPG" and the "fantasy" theme/setting, then I definitely recommend this game. The spells/abilities are satisfying and varied. The combos of overlapping abilities/movement between various heroes works well. Each quest is a satisfying puzzle to solve, and if you fail then you can re-try the quest with a different strategy. Additionally, it's fun to use the gems to level up your abilities and work towards different play styles and tactics.
