The last time I beat MGS3 was probably close to 20 years ago at this point, but every single story beat is still fresh in my mind. Playing through the game with modern graphics and controls has been an absolute delight. They could have done a lot more for sure to expand on the original game, but considering that their source material is literally one of the best games ever made what we got was fine too, lol.

This was my first time finishing the first entry in the series, and Mass Effect 1 is the worst best game I've ever played lol. The combat was janky, the Mako made me want to bang my head against the wall, map designs were awful -- I could list my gripes with the gameplay of ME1 all day. And yet, it was an ultimately enjoyable experience. Started a second playthrough recently for my Renegade Femshep run and it feels great to have a full understanding of why people love this game so much. It's such a marvel of worldbuilding and writing that BioWare was able to make such a mechanically unsatisfying game so fun to play.

If you haven't played through the series yet, I 100% recommend you give this a look. If you're a series veteran on your nth playthrough, this is the best way to play the series by a country mile.
