Ready or Not is going to scratch the itch of a lot of SWAT fans who long for a more methodical and tactical CQB sim. With the recent boom of such tacticool games (like Ground Branch and Zero Hour), I feel like RON stands out as being the most polished (and most faithful) one out of all of them.

That is not to say that RON is a complete, ready-to-ship game. It still lacks depth, weapons, modes and maps, but in my opinion the area that RON needs to prioritise first in its development is the AI logic (both the teammates and the enemies/civilians). But given the huge strides VOID has made over the past few months, I am fairly confident that RON will become one of the best games of the year, and of the genre, in the near future.

So, if you are a diehard SWAT fan and would like to join the development progress and feedback loop, support VOID and vote with your money. Its not too often we see developers put so much passion into their work anymore.

Seriously, if you still don't have this game, I don't know what you're doing on steam. This really is the second Half-Life 2. 9/11 IGN
