I had a great time with this dungeon crawler!

Combining tile-based movement with free-look/real time combat sounds awkward on paper but this might be my favorite combat system in the genre. The combat was enjoyable all the way through.

If you're experienced with the genre, I recommend cranking up the difficulty. I think "Normal" difficulty would make for a great entry point for someone new to dungeon crawlers, but veterans will finish the game with a completely full stash and inventory. One of the difficulty modifiers is reducing loot drops from enemies and there is more than sufficient resources placed in the maps if you've crawled a few dungeons before.

The puzzles were all rather simple but I still enjoyed them as a pacing device. Map designs were rather good -- plenty of shortcuts to prevent bothersome backtracking, and save points felt right.

I think this is a must-play for fans of the genre and would probably serve well as a first entry for newcomers.
