i've desperately wanted a pc port of this game for YEARS and i'm so happy it finally has one. i'm so glad more people will finally get to experience this wonderful game, and i hope NIS will port more of their console games to steam as well

i've had my eyes on this game for quite a while and i'm really excited that there's a demo now! i've always had an affinity for typing games and horror games, and seeing a game that mixes the two brings me immense joy. it's a very short demo, only giving you a small taste of what's to expect, but it definitely has me excited for what else they have in store. i will say that the 4th wall breaking stuff is a bit cliche, but i feel like the aesthetics execute it in a way where it isn't too obnoxious

i added this to my wishlist a while back just from the visuals alone. absolutely wonderful demo, and it's a very decent length for what it is (1-2 hours)! it makes me super excited to see what else this game has in store. oh yeah it also ripped my heart out of my chest, smashed it on the ground and stomped on the shards

this is the time where i really wish steam had a "mixed feelings" option, because that's how i feel towards this game. after spending an embarrassing 4k+ hours on this game (i'm not proud), here are my thoughts

VRChat, by itself, is a fine game. due to its content being completely user-created, there's practically an endless amount of content to see. however, VRChat's biggest glaring issue, and practically the one thing it's usually known for, is its community

the game is, unfortunately, DEEPLY unmoderated (the sign that says "we actively monitor vrchat" on the steam page? yeah that's a complete lie). therefore, it has some of the worst people you could possibly think of, and i don't think i need to say what kinds of people. that being said, there are things such as "group publics," which are instances (servers, basically) which are made and moderated by people who have made groups in the game, which is your best bet for moderation. even then it's a hit or miss

however, VRChat isn't COMPLETELY terrible. i've met some of my very best friends on here who have pretty much changed my life, so when you find the right people or can get some friends to play with you, it really isn't that bad. the game has made me want to learn Unity and 3D modelling so i can create my own content.

tl;dr get friends to play with you if you can, stay away from publics, join group publics if you really want to be in a big server and it's pretty cool if you're an aspiring artist and 3D modeler

simple but surprisingly fun game, bought it to play with my brother and i ended up putting more time into it than i thought. only gripe is that, at the time of writing this, it can lag a LOT, especially in huge lobbies, which i find weird considering it has such simple graphics and low-poly characters.

this part is less of a critique and more of a suggestion since it has pride shirts and titles, but i hope there will be an addition of lesbian and non-binary shirts/titles as well! i found it odd the shop didn't have any, but hopefully they'll be there in the future it's there now yippee!!!
