On top of the game being mid overall, I have struggled through hours and hours of extremely laggy & buggy online co-op gameplay, frequently to the point of not being able to play the game at all. I do not have this issue with any other game, so it is specific to BL4.

Most recently, the game now crashes upon start up everytime, and I am no longer able to play it at all.

It is unacceptable that a modern game, by a well-established developer, selling at top price point, is this pitifully unplayable and riddled with issues.

I will not be buying another game from Gearbox again.

Aged game-mechanics, frumpy graphics, and somewhat cheesy narration were ultimately worth enduring for this unique and thought-provoking experience. Playing through this added very interesting context for Remedy's later game, "Control", which I am now enticed to re-play.

Fun little puzzle game unlike any other. Other people complain about the difficulty, and while it's true it is not a -super- difficult puzzle game, it does still provide some fun challenges that force you to think outside the box. It is also true that the game is quite short, so wait for a reasonable sale. Took me 4-5 hours without hunting for any collectibles.

A favorite. Went in totally blind and enjoyed the exploration and the unfolding mystery. Controlling myself through space and learning to release my attachment to up/down/left/right was a fun challenge. There were some very frustrating moments trying to thread the needle or bashing my head incorrectly against some obstacle, but well worth it overall. The end hit me in the feels and had me in tears.

Cute and fun little game. Contains a lot of minigames to try to keep things interesting, but the main game loop did start to drag after a while.

Loved Elden Ring, but couldn't get into this one.

It's an action-based rogue-like with essentially no progression other than getting good. I don't really have the time and patience to slam my head against the Fromsoft wall over and over with little variation.

Might've been better with the right group to play with.

One of the most thought provoking-games I have ever played. I went in only knowing it was a short, acclaimed psychological horror game, and I was pleasantly surprised by how heady it was. The gameplay is fairly simple and linear--essentially a walking sim with some light puzzles and periodic monster encounters, plus occasional optional diversions to learn more about the world & story. The game builds tension pretty well in the scary moments, the environments are dark & creepy, and the mystery & thought exercises are compelling. Only complaint: there are a few occasions when it felt very unclear where to go next in the environment, which became extremely frustrating and ultimately required looking up where to go next.

Overall, excellent experience, especially playing along with someone and discussing the topics at hand (and having moral support during the freaky bits).

As a story, this has some moderately sweet and touching elements, but the attempts to turn the story into a game ruin most of it. As a game, this was painfully boring, with clunky controls, uninteresting puzzles, and a lot of slow and unrewarding movement. The visuals and dialogue were also largely unimaginative and really didn't create a sense of depth or impact in the topics explored in the game. I am genuinely shocked at the number of reviews singing high praises for the game. If you want a good story, there are much better ones out there.

I enjoyed playing this greatly. The art and design are beautiful, the linguistic puzzles are fun and uniquely challenging, and the overarching story is sweet. I only wish I could've played for longer.

A wonderous and impressively creative feat of story-telling.
