Early Access Review
if you liked the first subnautica, but was a little 'eh' on below zero, this game is already a wave of nostalgia, awe-inspiring and incredibly fun just like the first game (3 hours into early access). diving down into a new yet sort-of familiar world once again, it felt amazing, almost exactly the same feeling the first game gave for me. and even in early access on an old-ish pc, i have experienced little to no glitches.

(legal stuff aside) it's so exciting to watch the development team grow and improve with the game over the years. the quality of life and gameplay is already fantastic imo, there are already features you can see were improved from the first game and that makes me so happy. the water slugs for example - simple yet brilliant improvement. some improvements have made the game a little /too/ easy so far but that's welcomed imo for now because as soon as the full world, fauna, story, etc is released i'm sure it wont be anymore lol. with a few extra tweaks over time it will be perfect; so excited to see where this will head at full release!!

if you are a fan of this game/style of game, keep away from reviews and discussion forums. since when did everyone become such a negative, self-entitled critic?? the amount of negativity everywhere despite this game being in early access for not even a few days is astonishing. i have yet to experience a single meaningful glitch, and the world/fauna is perfectly fine, especially for /EARLY ACCESS/ (some people are forgetting that keyword). developing a game while keeping up hype and marketing is hard. i think it's fantastic so far, and i'm very much looking forward to where it's heading!!

the concept of this game is fantastic and i really enjoyed it!! i figured out the pattern quite quickly but even despite knowing the code, the words were still a challenge to decipher so i still got some good time out of it. once you have a full book of words, everything starts coming together and making sense. i really liked the storyline and endings personally despite what some others are saying :)

my only tiny gripe is that it's not super clear what triggers the little events you can get. i saw on discussion forums there was a scene at the door and it took me quite a few tries to work out how to get it. the time system is a little unclear too. still don't quite know how to unlock the other door...

but otherwise overall really enjoyed it and would highly recommend if you like decoding things !!

this is a very cute idle game to leave in the background and overall is worth the $5 for that alone, however, the UI, progression and bugs are rage-inducing and kind of override the fun. if you're looking for an idle game you can kind of play, then i would not recommend this.

i will say i really love the graphics, assets and animations, they are very cute - the little fans, the pandas slurping noodles, the cats scratching at machines, and even just the washing machines working away are adorable.

but other than that... to make money you need more workers. the amount of washing machines and stuff you have doesn't really matter until you get more workers, but workers cost thousands so you have to leave the game idle for like 20 hours before you can start to even imagine making more money.

then you need to buy items to unlock the next tier/upgrade (the money increase between upgrades is abyssmal btw...) so there's alot of shuffling around that needs to be done quite frequently and doing that is REALLY buggy. like i can generally tolerate bugs but damn... sometimes you can't delete furniture unless you save, quit and reopen the game. if you go to edit mode and move an object, the move menu disappears from the item until you exit and re-enter edit mode, so if you need to move one item multiple times it ends up being a pain.. and there's not a lot of room to move or decorate. even expanding the shop is not rewarding because (a) you unlock maybe 4 extra tiles, great and (b) you can still place things in areas you havent formally expanded either way.

speaking of decoration, decor items give no reward and are purely for aesthetics - for example i thought maybe putting fans in would increase customer satisfaction/money or something but there are no customers in your shop. it's just an endless animation cycle of your workers picking up clothes from a basket that's never empty. and the event decoration items (christmas, etc) are really overpriced and don't give much reward either.

the game also doesn't autosave either very often, so if you don't press the save button before you close it down, you can lose heaps of progress - learnt that the hard way after reshuffling the entire laundromat.

usually there's not much to say about an idle game because there's not much gameplay, but even the minimal gameplay involved in this game makes me angry at times lol. so... probably not a relaxing idle game. but i guess cute and worth $5 nonetheless if you really do just leave it idle.

if you can spare a few dollars, i would recommend purchasing this game to support the developer !

it's a very beautiful and relaxing little idle game - you can decorate your little space, change the weather/time for ambience, customise your character, cook, garden and leave and read letters from other players (most of which are very sweet and kind!). the assets are done really nicely in my opinion. also it's got a pomodoro timer, notepad and relaxing music and ambient sounds for studying/working too.

it is a bit buggy - the developer was very actively taking on feedback to fix things, but unfortunately there's not enough revenue coming in for them to continue supporting it. but do note it is an idle game so most of the time it still works fine despite it's quirks - i would still recommend it :)

what a fantastic game!! i would HIGHLY recommend this game if you are a nerd who loves simulation / management type games. you have to build a city from the ground up but also ensure you're managing your resources correctly - you need farms? you need workers. you need workers? you need houses. you need houses? you need wood. you need wood? you need trees. etc. it keeps you on your toes at all times and the hours just pass right by!

the graphics are so cute and smooth, i love how everything looks and the music is SO GOOD. ugh how am i supposed to stop playing when the best part in the song is about to come up (every part)

i will admit it's a little difficult to get the hang of though - i still haven't managed to win after 50 hours and about 20 different save files. keep running out of food, or land, or trees, or high skilled work,,, and most of the achievements require sooo much work... but that's okay and honestly probably just a skill issue lol. i'm going to get there, and when i do i'll probably end up buying the dlc because it's so fun <3

good spot the difference / detective sorta game - similar to papers please in a way. i love how some of the people are quite obviously not human but with others you can barely tell the difference until you let them through and then two seconds later they walk up to the window again. too funny, good game

love the kingdom hearts series dearly, have played it a hundred times on playstation so of course i was going to buy the remaster and play it all again - fantastic series for people who love this kind of style, good lore and good characters. this version has some nice graphics updates and animations, it looks and plays pretty well (so far of what i've played) but i have noticed the keyboard/mouse controls seemed to be bugged out when doing gummi ship customisation in kh1; if you quickly plug in a controller its okay but still a little annoying
