Great game with great maps. Still has many active players. More than worth the small price.

The game was great since I got it, but recent updates have made it even better. There is consistent support for the game, and you are always catching up to the latest items or progression. The core gameplay loop is addicting, but also mesmerizing. You lose track of time and eventually it feels like you are actually in the caves...

Just got the game 3 days ago. The gun play is addicting. This game feels like a combo of R6 guns, Arma damage, and has a unique pace. Sniping is satisfying and there are a lot of awesome options like the antimaterial rifles (they can shoot through 3 foot thick walls). The new fire support options are not as intrusive as I expected, and do not kill you if you play indoors or shoot them down. However this still makes them useful for a variety of things like suppressing players camping outside OBJ. The trucks add an interesting layer to the combat and instead of feeling like gimmicks, they add quick flanking options to the table.

There are a fair number of glitches and bugs including: Players spawning on top of each other, trucks spasming when you drive them, snipers not zooming in a short time after you deploy bipod. These are all minor and have never really tilted me, often being more funny than game breaking. Also the devs might want to look into this spot on crossing where you can drive the truck up the outer mountain wall, do some parkour, and make it out of map alive.

The level design is a spectacle to behold. I always though Tell in ins2 was a great map, but the same LD came back and made outskirts which is by far my favorite videogame map. The color palette is spot on, the areas are memorable, and the game play is great. There is a lot to say about the map but this is a game review. One of the things that makes the maps in this game great is that they are not just one uniform area, but there are micro themes and changes in gameplay. Summit and outskirts are great examples of this.

I am not happy with the current game radars. It appears that an autogenerator was used, because the blockzones on the map are distinctly separated into shapes that intersect eachother. It is pretty obvious that these are the brushes. Just photoshop the blockzone or something. Additionally, the radar is difficult to read, similarly to in source. Something that looks slick and tactical with low key colors would probably work better. Once again, it is evident that you guys just used some sort of orthagonal sky camera to make the radars. Maybe use that as a base for a refined, simplified version that highlights paths?

This segues into my last critical point: The map maker is not out yet. As far as I know this is just UE4 with some extra game specific entities added. I can understand why this was deprioritized, but think of what the community could make. I already have an idea for a map that incorperates an Iraqi hydroelectric dam.

I spent like 3 hours making a multi angled road that sloped downwards with valid geometry in source, and was questioning my humanity in the end. The map was gonna be push and take place in Baghdad. A is around an embassy, B is a roadway tunnel, and C is the central bank. Since I am trying to get hired by NWI (once I am old enough, duh) by creating the best map ever seen by human eyes, I need to be able to do it in unreal. Hammer is so bad that having off grid verts can break the engine.

Anyway, I hope to see this game get bigger in future years, because it deserves it. When map voting is added I believe active player counts will increase. Best of luck!

Game has been optimized and runs smoothly on my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ pc save for the occasional ui lag which affects everyone. The 2018 road map looks great as 2 new maps are being added, one of them just finishing its closed beta. I started playing recently and I have no idea how i already have this many hours. If you are coming from fortnite expect a much harder aiming/ ballistics system as well as slower gameplay if you land far from the plane and avoid hotdrops. So far the only real ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I die from that isnt my fault is getting run over by my own vehicle. (admittedly my fault after the third or fourth time). Even if you dont win this game is very satisfying no matter what playstyle you choose unless you are a ♥♥♥♥♥ camper in which case you wont even be able to turn or switch weapons without being heard. Also sounds that depend on what you are carrying are to be added. The price is reasonable, and I would buy again if i had a choice.

This game is great, especially since it allows you to create and play other peoples' levels. The customization is great (avatar, custom blocks, custom music), and the game play is smooth. The only thing that I would like to see is a more in depth guide on how to use the level editor. When I go on YouTube all the videos on it have music playing instead of having a person explain what they're doing. I would definitely recommend this game. (The price is good too.)
