Game, modded Worse

The decision to officially support mods should be a reason to celebrate, but in doing so results in having to load the game from the mod menu whilst completely breaking compatibility with mods created and hosted outside the official mod store.

This wouldn't be a big issue had not the developers for some bizarre reason chose to remove a standard feature to select audio and text language independently from one another just like console versions

The game's optimization also suffers as it struggles to stay at stable framerate. For the spec of my PC, this is not an ideal situation.

Having said all that, if this is your first time playing this game, I'd still recommend it as it is an enjoyable experience. For people like me who have purchased it for a second playthrough, this has been very disappointing.

Beautiful game drowning in bugginess.

Maybe it's just my PC, but the game is suffering from numerous graphical bugs throughout.

Constant shadow and reflection shimmer, ing near screen edge, texture pop in, white screen flashing, camera uncontrollably shaking when fishing, etc.

But even with all that, it's still a very entertaining game that mostly worked.

I'd recommend playing the console version instead if you don't mind 30fps.

This is the authentic Yu-Gi-Oh! experience.

Should you play this out of nostalgia? lol no.

The game's balance has been broken for the last decade. With Konami constantly releasing overpowered cards to make a few buck, it's understandable why so many players are looking for other TCG options.

Be wary. You will be neck deep inside pool of sweaty players spending ridiculous amounts of time to prevent you from doing anything. It's like crashing into a wall knowing full well that there is no road ahead.

You can still have fun with friends or stay in low rank to try out dank decks. But every time a new overpowered card is added to Master Duel, it infects the rank ladder from top to bottom.

Either constantly adapt to the ever changing meta that is absurdly ridiculous to your sensibility, or admit that the game you knew and love no longer exist and move on.

I chose to stay, but it's not too late for you.

Great game overshadowed by the definitive edition.

With the community developing mods to port high poly count models from this version to the definitive edition, there's less reason to play this version unless you really like the crossbow challenge.

The game required 2 crucial mods to make it playable. Even with all that hassle, the game shows its age and it's not pretty.

Not having the option for subtitle is a deal breaker for me and I assume for many who don't natively speak english.

It's certainly unique with an ominous atmosphere. That may have worked during its hay day, but not anymore.

My childhood right here. Perfect for screwing around for couple minutes. Only criticism is that some elements should be reorganized.

The only critique I can give is the camera shaking when walking.

If Assassin's Creed's climb mechanic from the classic games kept evolving, I think this could've been the direction they went with. Surprisingly fun and challenging.

Early Access Review
Their previous game from 2020, which appears to be near identical game, is still in early access. You'd be a fool to support them.

LITERALLY UNPLAYABLE (SERIOUSLY)

The game constantly gives me a loading (spinning) cursor which disables every input (including controllers). I tried to change it from borderless fullscreen to fullscreen and now whenever this cursor appears, the whole game minimizes.

This occurs every 10 seconds or so. After a quick google search, this issue has been present since launch and hasnt been fixed yet. This is a complete garbage game that wont even let players play without being interrupted every 10 seconds.
