I'm not sure BF6 can even make up for the Hell of having to play this game just for BF6 unlocks. Genuinely the worst Battlefield experience you could have. The maps are crazy bad.

This game picks up right where you left off in 1, and floors the gas. An improvement in every way.

Jesus Christ be praised!

I'm not a hardcore cards player, but I have played a lot of the alternatives casually in the past. This is by far the best experience I've had in the genre.

My shortform review for my still-in-progress playthrough of Starfield:

I've spent thousands of hours in a large assortment of space games ranging from casual to hardcore simulation. Starfield takes a lot of what makes those games good and redirects it into a space adventure movie that you get to live; all while maintaining the freedom and charm of a Bethesda title.

Early Access Review
Will have a full review when I fully finish the game. For now, just know that it doesn't miss the mark.

Gryffindor. Hufflepuff. Ravenclaw. Slytherin. Long ago, the four houses studied together in (mostly) harmony. Then everything changed when the dark wizards attacked. Only a powerful wizard, master of ancient magic, could stop them. But when the world needed one most, they vanished. Hundreds of years have passed, and the Keepers discovered the player, a new 5th year at Hogwarts. And although their magical skills are great, they have a lot to learn before they're ready to save anyone. But I believe the player can save the wizarding world.
*Hedwig's Theme plays in the distance*

I was one of the people who played the movie adaptation games in the early 2000s. Chamber of Secrets on PS2 was the first open world game I ever played and I absolutely adored it; with my enjoyment of it being the candle I held all other open world games to, until RDR2 came along. I've waited over 20 years for a new Wizarding World game to overtake CoS, and honestly didn't think it would ever happen. I was wrong.

This game can be called a Harry Potter spin-off, however I admit that the story and world of Hogwarts Legacy are so convincing and intriguing that you will legitimately forget Harry Potter ever existed while playing. The entire experience felt not only genuine in every way to the Wizarding World, but it stood entirely on it's own as a masterpiece. Being a Wizarding World fan, like me, without a doubt adds to your enjoyment of the game. However, even someone completely turned off to the books/movies can fully appreciate this remarkable, densely packed, made-with-love experience.

You can call me the Professor Binns of Hogwarts Legacy reviews.I could write a 20 page essay on my entire thoughts on this game, the good and the bad, and would still have more to say. I could make an Angry Joe review look like a YouTube Short in comparison. However, unfortunately, there's a character limit on Steam reviews, making it impossible to bore you to tears like many students experience in history class at Hogwarts (WHICH YOU CAN ATTEND BTW).

My final remarks are that this game is without a doubt worth every penny of the full price, and I hope dearly that this is not the last we will see of Avalanche delving into the Wizarding World. Avalanche have proven themselves as a more than competent, driven, hard-working collection of highly talented industry professionals who are not afraid to put all of their love into creating the best experience possible; even when that experience is far more than most studios would consider adequate.

-REVIEW-

I started out on this journey with a graphics card bug that wouldn't let me play. Was frustrated but luckily found out that disabling DLSS fixed the issue, and never once had another bug gameplay or otherwise come up in my time playing.

The hardest part of this reivew is that I know it's a game that's not for everyone. If you don't care much for dialog, story-driven content, slow gameplay, or the vibes of a mom and pop coffee shop, you're probably not going to enjoy it. But if you find that you're that kind of person, this is an experience you're likely to never forget when looking back at all the games you've played.

The mastery of world building and storytelling that Kojima exhibits has never been more apparent. I constantly found myself completely losing track of time in the real world, sometimes not looking away for up to 8 hours, purely because I was so invested in what was happening.

Even now that I've finished the game's story, there is still so much more that I haven't even touched yet. Playing at my pace, this game will probably take around 60-70 hours to 100%, and then there's still radiant quests and leaderboards to keep you coming back.

If you think that you're at all interested in this game, then it's a definite yes. If you feel like you might not be the right person for it, you're probably right to some extent. But I will say this game is soo much more than a "walking simulator".

-REVIEW-

I don't just give out 10/10 scores. In fact, this might just be the first one I've ever given in all seriousness. This game makes me question its existence every time I play it. I've thought about it many times, and have yet to come up with a single aspect of this game that isn't perfect. This game will forever be a masterpiece, and one that I hold all other games up to. Honestly I could go into great detail about everything that makes this game so good, but I would run out of characters with the first topic alone.

There's so much to do. There's so many places to go. There's so many people to meet. Every time you strut into a town you've been in before, or a road you've travelled more than you can count, you know that at any moment something new and exciting can and will happen to the world around you. Whether it's a poor, unlucky soul stranded on a road, a gang set out to rob you, or a patron being thrown out the window of the local saloon, there's always a new piece anchoring the world down around you on a level of success I've never seen achieved.

As a man whose wife refers to him as an emotional rock, I've had more than enough experiences with playing through an emotional game and feeling little to nothing. This game is NOT one of those experiences. By the end, I was so attached to every character in my story that I felt like a completely different person. The writers behind this game are truly in a league of their own.

This is an experience you don't want to miss.

I was here the second this game launched. One of the first few to join a server, I fought in the trenches of the server queues, the exploits, and the under-cooked features of the game. And at that time, while I did enjoy my time, My review reflected not recommending the game because I just felt it wasn't quite ready yet. I parted ways with the game until about a month ago.

Over the past month, I've enjoyed the game. I screwed up linking my account and unfortunately have now leveled 2 characters to 40 instead of just playing on one, But I'm enjoying taking it slow. I'm not the typical MMO player. I enjoy playing them as a solo player that just takes up a tiny spec n a big world indifferent to my existence, so take my opinion as a grain of salt if you're not the same. But I do enjoy this experience and plan to keep going for the forseeable future. I even bought the premium pass for the new season today.

Thanks for the work on updating this game, devs. Hoping the new update leads to success and there's more to come.
