I recently finished a run for the first time after ~1600 hours. Most of those hours were passed with the involved inventory management - quite realistic in a survival situation - and waiting for the clunky UI to load. Sadly, the game engine written in adobe flash is quite heavy handed, causing these wait times, but at least there are barely any bugs (if item or campsite icons start appearing on top of the menu button, in the top left, save, exit and close the game IMMEDIATELY).

The game is unforgiving but rewarding. At the start of a run, unlucky RNG may kill you off quickly, but you won't have lost much playtime. More painful are the decisions that may have been taken out of laziness and prove lethal in hindsight. Once you have a run of a few hours in, and given you understand the mechanics, you should be out of the woods and risk of death should be fairly low. You may then want to read a bit in a wiki (e.g. neoscavenger.fandom.com ) to discover about the special locations that are not easily found. Of course, you may also roam across the large map and discover them the hard way, but many of us don't have the time for that. There are also a ton of random encounters of which i have seen only a fraction, even with my long playtime.

I also recommend making backups of your save game, in particular before story encounters, in case you want to try out different decision branches. There exist save game managers for the game for windows on the internet, if you wish to automate it.

I haven't tried Ostranauts, and Project Zomboid is not with the dev anymore, so there probably won't be a successor to the game - sadly. Overall, it's a great game to fill an hour or two in the evening if the mood strikes you, and it's very rewarding to survive and make progress. Buy it when it's on sale for 5$.

Very good prologue. Logical puzzles, sensible dialogues, nice animations and artwork.

Good, short, challenging free puzzle game. Some puzzles can be unintuitive and / or the information needed to solve them are sometimes scattered, with no indicator where to look for. The hint function alleviates that, but it often gives you both a hint AND the final answer. Nevertheless, well made and crafted for a free game.

Poin & Click in tthe style of the old 90s games, though with even worse resolution. :D

Puzzles are logical and not random, and mostly easy to reach. Occasionally, items or interactions are hard to spot because of the low resolution, but you can scan locations with the mouse pointer. There is a guide in the community hub if you get stuck. The controls are a bit slow - like in the 90s, but not more. The story is okay and well written for a not-too-long game, though it's also not as short as one would expect of most free games. Fully voiced dialogues, rotoscoping and MIDI music add to the atmosphere.

Overall, great for a free game.

Cute, pretty, free. About 5 Minutes "playtime", but worth the time and 20 MB disk space.

If you like this game, try "The Mind of Marlo" by the same Developer. It's a tiny bit longer.
