You're nuts if you don't think this is Game of the Year (even in its current state of bugs and optimization).
The level of complexity and depth put into each facet of gameplay and the story/quest lines are insane.
I hope they add some multiplayer aspect in the future. It would work well.

I 100% completed this game and it was worth it. Very fun.

11/10 Must play.

Early Access Review
Phasmophobia is like Dead by Daylight with a twist on the gameplay concept.

The core mechanics of the game is great and fun to play. Up to 4 players not only need to find 3 pieces of evidence that determine the identity of the ghost haunting the location, but are also given 3 other different objectives to accomplish while investigating. Each ghost has a unique combination of evidence that satisfies this objective. Once completed, players leave the location and receive payment for their accomplishments.

It's still in Early Access, so there are still a lot of bugs to work out. The tools used to accomplish evidence-gathering can sometimes be bugged (such as the ghost writing book or spirit box refusing to operate, or the ghost orb floating outside of the map), which can lead to frustration. The game isn't going to win any awards for graphics in its current state, but that's understandable (hence Early Access).

I hope this game develops into something more full-fledged and detailed, as it feels primitive in its current state. It's loads of fun to play with friends.

This is such an underrated game!

It's almost purely a precision shooter (besides hunters who Dolch), so if you want to do well in this game, you have to practice your aim with iron sights...a lot!

The bosses you fight and the AI are not much more than a nuisance (and not scary at all)...this game is primarily PVP. The real game here is positioning against other hunters. Bringing in hunters and a full kit to risk it all for bounties is an adrenaline rush (it's sort of like Escape from Tarkov without all the excess looting and tetris-simulator). I haven't been in a firefight that was purely boring. They all seem like long games of chess.

This game is definitely worth it and I hope more people pick this title up.

I'm sure you've seen this game being played before and probably brushed it off as boring like I did. However, let me tell ya, this game becomes addicting when you figure out how to play. Originally starting as a killer main because I just didn't get how to actually survive as a team without communicating via voice chat (a feature this game lacks due to game mechanics and for good reason), I transitioned to playing as a survivor and put time into learning and it is so much fun!

This game is a more of a thriller than a horror game, so don't be alarmed. I probably spent 60% of my time solo queuing and the rest in discord for SWF (Survive With Friends). It's much easier when playing with friends because you can literally communicate all of the killer's actions and coordinate with your team to escape, which is why voice chat is not integrated into the game. Therefore, if you're just starting, I recommend playing with friends. As you progress through the ranks, it's more of a challenge when you're on your own trying to survive with randoms (recently reached rank one survivor spending 95% of the time solo from purple ranks to red ranks)!

They release plenty of content to keep you busy via tome challenges and there's plenty of progression that keeps you playing. I highly recommend you pick this title up.

Wanna relive your glory days leading troops in combat? This is the game for that.

The game is still in early access but it's far more polished than a lot of other early access games.
There are still annoyances that you commonly see, like vehicles glitching and clipping but none that are game breaking so far. Optics for weapons need a little tweaking because some classes don't have a 4x, which in this game and a lot of the maps you definitely need. Try fighting in the desert against people 200m+ when you're rocking a Aimpoint CompM4 red dot...you're not going to win that fight very much.

Optimization needs some work but I usually play with about 110-120 FPS on medium settings (i7-8700, GTX 1080). Some maps I drop to 25 FPS with an average of 70 FPS.

The game is very fun and one of the best, if not the best, military simulator I've played.
