I played the main storyline front to back, skipped absolutely all of the side content, and had a good time. I'll probably never play it again but I don't regret the time I spent with it.

The actual gameplay doesn't have _that_ much variety and I think this is why the game doesn't have particularly good longevity: There are fights against people that shoot at you with guns and there are fights against monsters that run straight at you. That's pretty much it.

The only reason it works long enough to get to the end of the story is because the guns and powers have lots of variety and feel good.

The story was good enough that I stuck with the game to see how it ends. It's a cool setting.
