Missed this world, this was a alright game, not perfect but plenty of value for money (around 70-80 hours playtime). Companion stories are more hit than miss and the main story is a good wrap up to the events following inquisition, while still being able to stand on it's own if you're new to Dragon Age.

I'd have liked more freedom in places for RP, I feel the game forces you to be completely paragon (which I normally play anyway) and doesn't let you call out some party/npc faults at times outside of enemies.

RNG loot system is a bit odd in that I explored every nook and cranny and had 100% completion of each zone for chests/puzzles etc but still missed on a lot of gear rank upgrades - a particularly egregious instance with one of my main companions that I did pretty much everything with, ended the game with a green weapon still... (checked all vendors etc too and couldn't get upgrade).

The combat feels really great, lots of room for creativity around builds etc, playing on second highest difficulty (since highest says no changing allowed and worried it would be like a typical hardcore mode) - the game was fine on this, really not that difficult once you get the system down. It also never felt like the higher difficulty just meant more of HP bar soak for bosses etc. It actually felt like more things to deal with in the fight and thinking about resistances etc, fights all felt well tuned overall.

Overall though, faults aside I enjoyed the game, hits all the emotional high and lows you'd want from story driven RPG, some fantastic cinematics, and great music scores throughout. I don't regret purchase.

Would give it maybe a generous 6/10 overall. If you took the Dragon Age name off it, I feel it would be much better received. My main gripe is from previous DA RP expectations, the party characters overall lack the depth/intrigue of previous titles and there's a huge lack of choice/empowerment of player choice for RP elements.

Haven't felt this way about a game since originally playing through the Mass Effect series. BG3 was such an engrossing experience with character and world stories you can't help but fall in love with.

The game was so easy to sink over a hundred hours into, with constant wit, emotion, and intrigue throughout all the acts. The game-play is super well thought out and designed, and for the most part limited only by your imagination.

Absolutely fantastic job done by Larian Studios. After finishing it, I just had to sit and soak it all in while credits rolled, listening to the fantastic OST. Games like this come along so rarely, I cannot recommend it enough.

A real breath of fresh air. Combat flows beautifly at times especially when the soundtrack kicks in during certain scenes. The game also really flys the flag for the "games are an art" argument. The game is short enough (completed casually in under 8 hours) but at 30 euro it's worth the investment.
