If you're into historic simulators (Nobunaga's Ambition, Sands of Salzaar, etc) then you will find yourself right at home with Yasuke Simulator. These sorts of games don't come out very often, so if you're a fan of the genre this is a must-buy.

The setting is 1579 and you play as Yasuke - possibly the most historically famous Samurai to exist - to join forces with Oda Nobunaga and unite Japan. After playing through I'm not sure if this is more game, simulation, or history lesson, but rest assured it is truly an experience.

Just note that a week after release there are a few glitches that need to be ironed out, but nothing game ending. Just things that may draw you out of the experience. For example, one time while riding the bullet train I fell through the floor and noticed the tracks weren't rendered properly. When I respawned I was able to make it through without issue. I'm sure these nuisances will be ironed out through future patches though.

This is just a lot of fun killing waves of creatures with people.

Yeah! This is fun! It's not the most realistic flight sim out there, but it's all about the action. I picked it up for a few bucks on sale and it's worth it.

The flying and fighting remind me of Crimson Skies for Xbox, but much more basic - no crazy landings on zeppllins or anything like that. Just that same combat feel in a semi-realistic WW2 setting.

The controls and combat are just right to spend a few hours blasting away. IMO, the naval missions dropping torpedoes into aircraft carriers are the most fun, but everyone will enjoy a different aspect of the game.

Really fun with a good balance. I think the company hurt itself with the microtransaction issues when it launched, but it is a lot of fun to play, even though I'm terrible as any of the monsters.

If you've never played Dark Souls, this is a fine entry. If you've played the old Dark Souls: Prepare to Die edition, this is an upgraded, HD version that fixes all of the slow down issues (Blighttown, New Londo, etc..). It looks great and feels great, but many of the fixes from the original can be repaired with mods.

If you have the old version and are fine with using mods, DSFix will get you 90% of the way to this edition and I can't strongly recommend buying this one.

If you are new or you don't want to screw with mods, then YES! Get this. Buy it yesterday.

I liked it a lot! Bought it on launch day and had a great time with it. It's hard to talk about the game without mentioning that it's a Souls-like game because it is.

What sets it apart from Souls is the futuristic setting and the ability to target specific enemy limbs. The level design in the early sections is amazing with lots of shortcuts to discover, but later on I had a difficult time navigating the same-y hallways and getting confused by the same-y elevators.

Multi-player would've added more value, but I feel I got my money's worth at full-price. Check out the demo if you're not sure, or pick it up on sale.

I really can't get enough of these games. Demon's Souls started it on PS3, and they just get better.

This is a bit dated now, but is still excellent. It's nice to see where the Souls series really took off. Make sure to get DSFix to improve the resolution and framerate.

The best game in the universe ever. Make sure you get DPFix (made by Durante, the guy who fixed the Dark Souls PC port) from here: http://blog.metaclassofnil.com/?tag=dpfix to get everything working as well as it can.

Have fun.

Amazing. If you like games like Flower or Journey, this is just for you. There is no real way to lose, but that doesn't stop the game from being intense in places.

The music is fitting and there are lots of memorable moments.

If you just want to chill out and relax and explore, give this a try.
