I just can't find a way to like this game.

HUGE step back from XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

Unbalanced, bugged, and with a very bad UI... I'm forcing myself to play this game in the last days... but damn, the entire game is really a big mess. :/

PS = While I'm writing this review, I'm waiting for the game to unstuck itself from one of the animations that froze it...... my god....

F2P model (tries to su*k your wallet badly) with a price.

It's not even worth it. There are better games...

This is a v1.0.1 feedback.

Game is still broken guys, they didn't fix a thing with the 1.0.1, and the same bug was present in the original game. CLASSIC PARADOX.... trying to make money without to spend time with development and bugfixing (or testing).

The following is just a little part of the bugs / problems I found in my games in just 12 hours:

- Power output of power accumulators doesn't contribute to the total displayed in the UI, following in a weird scenario: you can have a negative power output (even -300 or -400) while the colony is just fine and fully powered.
- Asteroid Landers: still completely bugged. Once you land on the asteroid, you cannot choose what to bring back on Mars, because there is NO UI to let you decide that. Drones just collect randomly resources in the proximity, and if you're lucky, you'll get the resources you wanted. You'll lose all the drones / rovers on the asteroid, because you cannot decide to bring them back.
- Trains are completely BROKEN and USELESS.
- Homeless people: there is a strong possibility to have homeless people in a dome, even when there is a lot of space in houses. They just ignore it. And with the factions feature added, this is even a bigger problem.
- There is a chance to have overpopulated domes, with colonists that refuse to go in another dome with a shuttle. Causing also the homeless problem.

There are more bugs... and if PARADOX will do the same like the original game, these bugs will never be resolved.

DON'T BUY IT. Not even on DISCOUNT.

Wait for a proof that bugs are FIXED... or you will regret it.

-----------------------------------------

EDIT : v.1.0.2
---> Still bugged. Nothing changed.

-----------------------------------------

EDIT : v.1.0.6
---> Game is improved, but it still contains game breaking bugs.... you should still avoid the game like the plague... they are not fixing it quickly enough.

BE CAREFUL, DO NOT BUY!!!!

Early Access Review
Yes, it’s yet another simulator where you have to order products, manage stores, make money... etc.. exactly like all the others. Nothing new.

But there are a few bits here and there that are really fun to experience, and overall it's not that bad actually to play it, and it's only an early access version. So I guess it's fine?

Also isn't not so expensive, so I guess that's another plus! :)

In this game you have to play with your friends, driving an RV while trying to come back home. You have to manage together how to surpass all the obstacles during the road.

It can be fun to play it with your friends for the first time, but then that's it.

CONS:
- Controls are not intuitive.
- You can play in single player, but it's very bad and not fun.
- No longevity/replayability.
- Tutoral is missing/very bad.
- Not worth its price.

I just hate too much "Shiro Games" to leave a positive review.

107 euros for the full version of this game (and still growing). Now I understand why there was no tutorial inside the game, maybe there is somewhere the dlc to enable it?

YOU'RE OUT OF YOUR MIND. :/

Early Access Review
After months and months asking devs to implement a logic that permits us to keep a guaranteed stock in one region while using carts to send resources away and being ignored, I lost completely faith in the project.

I'm not telling you to avoid the game, but please. Do yourself a favor. Wait the end of this early access and then check how the game is.

I absolutely don't recommend the game at the current state. Devs are not listening to you in any case, so this is not a TRUE early access..

Dying Light: The Beast is for sure a success for Techland, no doubt about that! After 30 hours of gameplay, I think I can finally tell you what I think about it.

GAMEPLAY:
It's not so different from previous chapters, but more similar to DL1 (which is a good thing). There are main and side missions, resources to collect, dark zones, night monsters with chases, safe zones, etc.. everything is the same. So let's talk about differences :

GRAPLING HOOK : Finally it's working again like it was working in DL1, but with DL2 features. You can use it to pull enemies, but also to push yourself to other buildings/structures. It's the best grappling hook ever imho.

WEAPONS : They are improved by a lot. Full stack of firearms and a great amount of melee weapons and mods. Firearms are unlocked very soon (not like in DL2).

ZOMBIES : there is a less variety of zombies of DL2, but enough to keep you entertained. Also, there are CHIMERAS here, but they are story related, so not sure they counts. You cannot loot anymore infected special loot like in DL2.

ITEMS : You have "Manuals" you can find around just like any other type of resources, to upgrade stuff. I would say the system is well made, and it takes a lot of grinding to take the expert ones. But I like that.

VEHICLES: available from the start, but not very useful. There are a few roads where you can go with them, but they are only useful if you have to cover great distances, since there is no METRO and fast travel, so you only got those if you want to be quick. I like the fuel system, well made (you need fuel to cover great distances). Cars can be repaired with tools.

SKILLS: More or less there are the same skills of the previous DL titles, but now we have the possibility to use "BEAST" skills by killing chimeras. The "beast mode" is very fun. A nice addiction. But the level cap limited to only 15 is a bit concerning. But don't worry, you can play a lot of hours before you will be able to get all the skils.

The rest is the same, with combat system identical (which is not a good thing imho, because you can still kill a normal zombie with 4 kicks, and at the same time, you can hit them 6 times with a crowbar and not killing them. It's a strange system. Also sometimes the physics is concerning. A kick always pushes back a zombie, but a melee weapon isn't always doing the same... wtf!?!?)

GRAPHIC & LEVEL DESIGN, OPTIMIZATION:
FANTASTIC!!! The custom engine of Techland is working really well, muuuuch better than Unreal Engine!! With a 3080 Ti, I can go way more than 100FPS with everything maxed, and the visual is very stunning. I particularly like some interiors where the difference with UE5 isn't that great. I would't touch anything. Perfect. I don't like much the environment and the lack of urban zones, but isn't bad either. Everything is acceptable.

Conclusion and EXTRA:
There is still no support from the pilgrim outpost ( :( ), the side missions are just a few (way less than previous titles), and there are no charismatic characters. I don't like anyone. Only Kyle Crane, of course!, no NG+ for now, but you can return to the map once you finish it and complete the rest of side missions and achievements. MAP is big enough, but most part is made by mountains and forests.

And.... I can't remember of everything else!!!
I absolutely suggest the title, but it seems a bit smaller than DL2, but for sure BETTER. Not sure if it's worth 60€ (most of the content is a copy past of previous titles), but for 40€, it is a must buy!!!

Glad I received it for free by Techland (DL2).

Good night,
Good luck!
