It's clear that my daughter handles cats under pressure way better than I am, but we both did our best to quench Julia's need for purple and blue boxes...
A very fun toy that would sit very well on a large living room screen (yes, hinting at that console release :P). Game play mechanics are simple to grasp but enough to generate panic and mayhem. I like how clean the game looks, the art style leaves room for the players to understand what's going on in the game but stands its ground with playful shapes and colours.
Given how the maps play out, I would really see this game having a player editor for the map shapes!

This is what you get when The Syndicate and Crusader: No Regret have a Cyberpunk party. I was actually looking for a nice coop/splitscreen shooter to exercise my occasional pewpew cravings and The Ascent happened to hit the perfect mark, with challenging enough combat and very appealing art style.

Very anxious to see this project in its launch phase, it's been through a lot of changes during beta, but given how ambitious the concept is, couldn't have been any other way.

Seeing the world of FireFall expand, from the first testing days when we were waiting for PvP matches in a tiny courtyard, to the rich world it has today, was a really nice journey.

Definitely give it a shot. If you like shooting things in the face only to stop once in a while to stand in awe at the beautiful scenery around you, the game will get you hooked.
