as a sonic fan, i will try to be as non biased as possible:
i can't say if it is better than mario kart, and really don't care if its better or worse then mario kart.

the game plays great, I enjoy every race i play. i really enjoy that i can play local multiplayer split screen on TV via steam deck (even though it needs some config changes when playing with more then 2 but i don't think thats a game issue or a steam deck issue)

As every Sega game, the soundtrack is on point but there are some missers imo. but that's taste in general, what i think that are missers could be bangers for someone else. I do like that i can edit the soundtrack list via Jukebox so i can filter out the missers for myself.

the racetracks are very pretty to look at and to race through, but the crossworlds mostly feel so much cooler.
A small complaint that i do have is, that i can't race 3 laps into those crossworlds. i know i can do it in time trials but i would be psyched to just race through dinosaur world or the pirate map.
It would also be cool to just turn off the crossworlds to race the normal racetracks 3 times. but that's just me.

online play is not really my shtick because i suck. but the times i did those races it actually was a very smooth experience.

the online festivals are also very fun to do with the different kind of races. but it is sad those festivals only go for like a weekend. i don't always have time to play those weekends

but... is it worth the price?... I do think 70 euro's is pretty harsh. there is content to play through but i don't see it like that, i see it as a game that i can just put on to play with friends online or local multiplayer.

track is alot of fun and the soundtrack for the track is sooooo good

alot has already been said about this game.
just writing this review because ive played it for alot of hours together with a friend via remote play together on steam and we both cried of awesomeness and nostalgia for the castlevania level ending.
would recommend 100%. even more fun with friends in local co-op! (although remote play starts lagging when adding a 3rd player but thats probably my internet connection)

this game was a blast. i didn't knew what to expect of the game. but oh boy it is soo good! i have played all routes, and finished pacifist route as last. god i'm a crybaby... The story was so strong, so rich. the battle system is pretty cool (genocide route IS SO FCKING HARD MY GOD).
i think that there is no day that i haven't listened to the OST after i have played my first run.
and now, i have to deal with the dark void in myself.

a hideo kojima game

i really love the game. the game has a good story line even if you don't know anything about the series (maybe some little details but doesn't matter). the graphics are good too, i understand now why it asks so much system requirements :D and i'm in love with the gameplay and with the combat system.

epic game but hard if u start at the beginning :c
