Crimson Desert feels like one of those once in a decade games, a true masterpiece (GOTY).
It also reminded me how much I miss the early 2000s. Instead of just diving in and discovering things naturally, I’m constantly getting flooded with algorithm driven YouTube videos about “best gear,” spoilers, and optimized paths.
I have to admit, sometimes I use YouTube for the very hard puzzles, so that most likely triggers the algorithm. Regardless, I try to skip all those spoilers and “BEST GEAR” videos for obvious reasons, since it’s a singleplayer game.

I hate the time we live in where everything is just on YouTube or AI. It makes me wonder what experiencing a game like this would have felt like back then, when everything was slower, more mysterious, and entirely your own to uncover.

This indie game blew me away with its gorgeous visuals, smooth gameplay, and immersive atmosphere. The attention to detail in the environments and mechanics makes it feel polished and engaging from start to finish. Everything from exploration to combat is well-balanced and fun.

While the demo was a bit too short, it left me eager for more. If the full release builds on this, it's sure to be something special. Triple-A studios could learn a thing or two from this gem!

One of the best free to play games. It's not play to win what makes it very good for a ftp game.
